The Crunching team is what 2 years old now according to one of the threads?  That's pretty good... and generally the Crunching team puts about 4.2 mil points a day on the board according to BOINC stats.  That's pretty significant for a team this small.  You've done a great job and I thank you.

I wanted to call attention to how, with the help of a few others that have joined us in the past few days, just how significant your impact on the team is.  Take a look at the numbers BOINC put up on the board for us today:

Yeah... that's right thanks to you and others who are kicking it into high gear we have doubled our production.  It looks like we can make a significant move upward in a few days.

Again thank you for all you do in the name of science and the team.  Without you this would be impossible.

I think the website is having "hot flashes"...those of you who have endured menopause know what I mean.

No seriously, I've seen a lot of inconsistent weirdness lately with posting messages and especially graphics.  'Course maybe my GPU-heat- of-the-sun running PrimeGrid has something to do with that.

Let's put it this way Bill... the team as a whole averaged about 4.2 mil a day... now with all the new crunchers we've tripled our numbers.  That's impressive to me.

I can't see the image you shared Bill (just the old yellow error image).  Are you asking about your own "days" or something from Viper's team data?  If about your own performance "days", WCG Project performance is measured in "CPU days" which are typically a lot more than physical calendar days.

Team time... Tex... I've been watching the points rack up... take a look at the links... we are position 83 now... we were generating about 4.2 mil a day team wide... it's changed.  Dramatically.

Of course I may be over zealous but that's me.

What's weird is that I posted the screen shot from BOINC Stats... I think there's a DB cross ref problem with the images and the forum.

Bill... understood.  I'm using the BOINC stats overall.  Not individual stats... and your stats from what I see are about 14K more than mine a day.  :)

The run time of 63 days is different.

"Run time" is simply a measurement of how long a volunteer's device spends running World Community Grid tasks. You accumulate run time for running tasks on your device's GPU, CPU, or both.

    • If you contribute GPU time, the run time is the actual elapsed time in which the World Community Grid task executes on the GPU. In other words, if the task starts at 10:15am and finishes at 10:19am, you accumulate 4 minutes of run time.

    • If you contribute CPU time, the picture is a bit more complicated because CPUs can prioritize different tasks and have multiple cores. Only the time a CPU spends actually executing a World Community Grid task counts toward your run time. As an example, if a quad-core computer runs a World Community Grid task on each core at 75% throttle from 10:15am to 10:19am, then each core will accumulate 3 minutes of run time (75% of 4 minutes). Across all 4 cores, the total run time would therefore be 4 x 3 minutes = 12 minutes.

Ok, now I see your image.  Yeah that's "CPU days" you have there for each project.

    Badge Level     Years          CPU Days
    Bronze                              14 days
    Silver                                45 days
    Gold                                  90 days
    Ruby                               180 days
Emerald          1 year  or  365 Days
Sapphire         2 years or  730 Days

OK so I take I am doing ok, and a 48 core running a hour at 100% is 48 run hours. I think.
    Thanks again.
I get some down time I will explore all the links and do some reading.

Not just doing OKAY you be smoking with those rigs. It is an honor to be one of the NEW's with you. I need to install my new hexcore chips and fire up my second rig. Really love the lack of drama here and the potential to really get this moving up the charts.

It's been a tremendous effort by everyone on the Crunching team.  With the Christmas Challenge and Prime Grid Winter solstice challenges running side by side we've posted some very impressive numbers.

We are currently in 6th place for the Winter Solstice challenge an excellent position for those of us who have turned the GPU's towards that challenge.

Meanwhile on the Christmas Challenge front we are still in 11th place but our new members moved production from our 1.4 mil a day spread to 2.1 mil a day as of last nights calculation.  We are in a very good position to slide into at least 9th place by Sunday evening.  Keep up the good work.

Best news of the day.  We've been ranked in 83rd place in BOINC Stats for a year and now with all the new blood and the excitement of the challenges this month we've moved to 82nd place and appear poised to rise further by year end!

edit- I tried to highlight the numbers but that forum feature appears to be fubar for me.

Only two projects are active right now... Fighting Aids at Home and Mapping Cancer Markers.  The other projects are either complete and getting ready to move into another phase or just complete.  Once other projects are available and if you have selected all projects you'll be assigned whatever projects are out there.

Until then enjoy the two.  I get a Clean Energy WU once in a while.  Very sporadic.

Went to suspend my 4p Boinc and do a BA for bucks. Suspend went okay and downloaded a 8101. All went normal till this morning and TPF was over an hour and missed deadline. Boinc had started back up along with FAH, Anyone know why it came out of suspend? This is in a separate location and only see via HFM. Does suspend time out?

Not that I know of. We're you crunching Gpu also? Do you monitor with team viewer or anything? What a pain losing all that Folding time. Could it have had anything to do with FAH's problems this morning?

Not using GPU on my 4P to crunch. The suspend did stop everything and I was able to start the 8101. It was this AM that I saw the long TPF and when I checked, found Boinc manager had resumed all. Back to just crunching on that rig and will let the 8101 time out. Weird though, I thought suspend did not restart until you hit resume. It is located in my shop/laundry room with no one in there. Don't think it had to do with server as my other 4P without Boinc is running normal.

They must have loaded more work into the Clean Energy Project Phase 2.  I've been working a steady stream of them all day today.  Can't say how long it will last, but so far none of my rigs have run out of CEP2 WUs.

Plugged in my 590 classified to crunch but Boinc Manager did not see it. Using version 7.2.33 (x64). That would give me 3 GPU's in one PC. Also not as new to crunching as I thought. Crunched for EVGA in 2010 using my old 480, I did not remember but GPUGRID did. Could not find much info on adding multi GPU PC. Any ideas?

That seems  happen all the time. I just pause it then close it after a min. or so. I hate playing a game and the app starts crunching on me, take to long to get out of game to pause it once more.

Crunched for EVGA in 2010 using my old 480, I did not remember but GPUGRID did. Could not find much info on adding multi GPU PC. Any ideas?

What OS and version are you using.

This is on my Windows 7 machine. All GPU's working and downloaded Boinc 7.2.33 (x64). Was on older version. New version did not see new GPU's and tried reboot.
