Hello, I have two evga gtx 1080 FTW's in SLi.  I am making a water cooled system for my pc.  Having heard of all the issues with the heat, do I still need to get the thermal pads from evga?  Or should I be fine with the ones sent with my waterblock (ekwb 1080 ftw block)?

Nah, if youre going to use the ek blocks there is no issue.

Think of it this way, the PCB design has no issues. Concerns were with ACX cooler. Since you're going with water blocks, you'll have no issues as long as you follow the install instructions.

Everything you will need will come with the blocks...minus all the other gear you need for a custom loop.

I'm running 1080 FTW in sli, no issues at all. Running Ek blocks and backplates.

Asus Rampage V Extreme
EVGA GTX 1080 FTW SLI / Ek Blocks & Backplates
