A very nice simulation. You can skip to the last few minutes to watch the actual last part of the sinking.

Can someone please explain to why anyone would make a game like this and why anyone would want to play it?

If they feel it will have a chance to make money they will make it.

I don't see what good it would do anyone to remember

because people died.  Many of them.  No one should forget how good it is to be above the ground.  As your sitting in your climate controlled room, remember how they met their end.  They were shivering, in ice water (those that managed to make it to the top deck).

Now, conversly to that fate, imagine how these people felt:

possibly 4 THOUSAND souls BURNED ALIVE.

And again I ask what good does it do anyone to remember such horrors, especially ones that happened 50+ years ago? The Titanic sinking happened over 100 years ago, anyone from that time, especially those that survived it, died long ago
It's one thing to take from the past and learn from it and move on, but to just remember it and remind people of something so terrible just doesn't make any sense

I guess when your older you have a certain appreciation for life.  Youth doesn't concern themselves with such things?  My point is simply remember, so the same mistake doesn't happen again.  Perhaps is out of respect.

I think we should remember them simply so they don't happen again.

Titanic... always makes me think of Estonia. One of those "every swede knows someone who was there"-type of disaster (I lost a neighbour there).

Such an intriguing video.  It spells out just like the titanic, but this is the 90's.  Practically modern technologies (just before cell phones though).  You would have thought after the titanic something like this wouldn't be possible.  Clearly things like this can still happen.  THAT is a reason NOT to forget.

I found one particular survivor's story compelling:

Ever since coming back from a tour overseas... there is really nothing anyone back here stateside can tell me is "that" important.  Whatever it is, it can wait.  I have found it difficult to explain to my wife why i have such a relaxed personality now.  That guy gets it, as I am sure other veterans do.

The parts showing the inside of the ship got me the most...very terrifying.
