I found the Thermal Pad Mod request page via reddit after purchasing a 1070 hybrid card from Amazon.
But when I punch in my serial number, it gives me the red "The Serial Number entered was not found. Please check to ensure that this is a EVGA GTX 1060/1070/1080 series product and try again." message.

Also, the 6178-KR part number doesn't show up under the 1070 bios update list.
Am I safe or should I still try to get the new thermal pads?

The Hybrids were not affected by the issues you referring to as they dont have ACX 3.0 coolers.
