    Who is the provider?

And who are you trying to switch to? Cuz you should be able to use it on att and any other GSM network. At least you should. I used my att branded phone on tmobile and others. Like straight talk etc.

Well the phone I've now is the Samsung Core Prime and it sucks monkey booty. I'm with a cheaper provider but they're on T-Mobile's network, I want to take my LG G3 which is still locked to T-Mobile and use it with my new provider .

Have you ever tried just swapping sim cards. As soon as I found out the Nokia I got from straight talk had a sim I put that into my galaxy captivate and it worked just fine. Was a matter of putting in the mobile network. Of course it was still stuck with att bloatware but it was better than the Nokia lol Anyway as for the original question I never paid to have it done so I don't know who is reliable.

Just gotta make sure the Mobil APN is set up so it's looking for the right networks.

A new law in February 2015 basicly said that a provider must unlock your phone if you requested this after your 2 year contract was up.

Although it was several years ago I got the same information. Regardless of the law, T-Mobile refused to give me the unlock codes for my phone. Harumph!

Tmobile won't unlock your phone if you don't have service with them. Say your not paying a bill no more then no unlock.
