I will try that and post results.

I've followed this guide;  provided by maniacvvv, and it did help at first, but after 2 maps the artifacts came back. This is only in bf3! I've been playing Arma2, Arma3, GTA4, Chivalry and Bioshock without any problem at all..

I just got a new 780, so I was researching this driver issue for days before it arrived in preparation. I almost didn't open the box until a new driver had been released.

In all of these posts, no one has mentioned the actual nvidia page with over 600 comments, including video and screenshots of user problems. So it definitely exists. Here is that link: http://www.geforce.com/wh...-whql-drivers-released

Anyway I decided to check the disc with the card, and it included v320.11, so I hoped that that minor difference would help, since no one in the newegg reviews reported any issue.

Thankfully I can say that it works fine, no crashing of any sort, running Tera at 1080p with all settings maxed.

So if you're like me and just got a 7 series, use the included disc instead of the new download. Maybe that will help?

Good find.  I just posted there.  Over 700 comments now.
I just got my new GTX 780 installed.  Played BF3 for about 45 mins with 310.90 drivers.  So far so good.  Kicked some major A$$ those 2 rounds too.

I thought the 320.11 only had the Titan card support? the 770/780 will only work with 320.18 according to nvidia's site

320.11 ships with the 780. It also has a newer version of Physx than the 320.18. I just went back to it yesterday and haven't had a BF artifact since.

If you want a decent case, Corsair is KING this year!

That case is hideous ^_^ NZXT Phantom 820 ftw lol. Still, a 770 with an ACX cooler hitting 80c even in a case with only 2 fans seems a tad high.

The reason I always choose the antec 300 case is cause its one of the few that has the classic squared off design, the front bezels on tons of other cases just look so ugly, so I stick to the classic look while still having great airflow.

In all seriousness though yea I know Lian Li does square designs too but they are a bit more expensive then the antec 300

Yes I would be concerned, 2 x 120MM fans is not enough airflow

get a case like this one, http://www.newegg.com/Pro...x?Item=N82E16811129180

it has 2 x 120MM front intake, 1 x 120MM side intake, 1 x 120MM back exaust, 1 x 120MM Mobo trey, and 1 x 140MM top exaust

Well I am from Canada and the Canadian site for that case they want 30 dollars just for shipping. They do have these 2 for sale and both are at a discounted price right now. Which of the two would you recommend me buying?

http://www.newegg.ca/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16811129066
http://www.newegg.ca/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16811129042

I don't have enough space for a Full towered size case so it has to be a bit smaller. Mid Tower is fine.

This is what I and my girl have!! Its a awesome case by far and its really not that expensive!!

Well that was short lived!  I followed Maniac's guide, and I have 310.90 drivers installed, and got artifacts in BF3 today!!!!  WT...!!!???
That is 2 GTX 780 displaying artifacts in BF3!  Any suggestions?
I don't have Precision, RTSS, or Afterburner installed.  I cleared the profile like Maniac suggested.  I only installed the drivers and PhysX.  I even set the custom video settings as Maniac suggested then saved and exited.  Still artifacts!
I've wasted too much time on this!  And Newegg won't give me a refund.
I'm really getting dejavu here.  This happened with BF2 and the 7900GT too!

Have you tried the 320.11 drivers on the cd that shipped with the card? Same rules apply: don't make changes to driver settings after install.

You're not the only one...it appears the drivers are just crappy period....the weird thing is, we can't trace why it's doing it....it happens to different generations of cards and it doesn't seem to stand out at all.

Figures I jump out of the pot and into the fire.  All I've heard about lately is how Nvidia's drivers are great and AMD's suck.  I was actually pretty happy with my 7970.  I just started salivating over higher framerates, and got greedy.  Lesson learned...if it ain't broke, don't fix it.  I wish this lesson didn't cost $660.

Good deal. I had the same artifacting with 320.18 even though I'd been running them without issue on my GTX 570 since their release; normal driver setting tweaks and all. Re-installing didn't help. Even though it's pretty simple, modding 314.22 isn't a sure thing as that driver also has lots reports of Battlefield artifacting. However, testing 320.11 I've put in a fair bit of time and haven't had an issue yet with default settings.

So far so good on my 780 with 320.18.  Still annoyed that I even have to think about this though.

I initially installed 320.18 but I switched to the 320.11 that's on the driver disc with my 780 SC ACX.  It feels a lot smoother in games for me such as Crysis 3.  Benchmarks are right about the same, right around 9000 Fire Strike stock.

Jarhead: How could you write a comment like that?  What is wrong with your 780 if anything?  You can switch to 320.11 if you're having any problems at all or even 314.22 with a modded inf.  I don't know why you're getting your panties all in a bunch about a random driver issue unless you're having all sorts of problems (which I haven't heard really anyone with 700 series cards with legitimit issues).  You made the right choice if you wanted some more power, the 780 is in another class compared to your old 7970.

Jarheads timing was just bad, he just recently switched from a 7970 to a 780 and did it while nvidia released the worst drivers in a while, the last ones was the 196.75 a couple years ago

I'm really getting dejavu here.  This happened with BF2 and the 7900GT too!

310.90 drivers do not support your product. So your post is a bit confusing.

Strange the EVGA disc that I got with my 770 is 320.08.
I didn't even order it day one or anything...was a week after release maybe even an extra day or two.

Installed it. Works fine....then again I only had one driver crash prior and it was watching Revenge in HD.

Re:WARNING: 320.18 Drivers are Killing GPU's 2013/06/16 06:43:26 (permalink)
I have 2 GTX 780 Hydrocoppers and had trouble, such as Artifacts, black screen, Direct X error, Nvidia Driver recovery, crash to desktop. I have not seen any temp problems with my GPU’s though.
I initially installed the GeForce Experience because I wanted to experience it. After experiencing all of the problems above I decided to use Windows Uninstaller to uninstall the GeForce Experience by itself which of course didn’t help.
It’s been about 7 days (since last Saturday) now and I haven’t seen any problems so far after doing what I did below.
I uninstalled whatever background programs I had running, Precision X, Logitech keyboard (G key and LCD) program, Cyborg RAT 7 program and a couple other programs. I had, also, disabled the update programs as well as the HP printer program and any program that I think I could in Windows Startup using the CCleaner’s start up program. I then used CCleaner in normal Windows and then rebooted into Safe Mode to clean the registries again. Followed by the clean install of NVIDIA 320.18 with everything again including GeForce Experience (the reason for this is just in case there was some residual programming left somewhere in the Windows registries when I did the Windows Uninstall of the GeForce Experience to make sure there was some kind of path to follow for a clean uninstall (ß did that make sense?). Rebooted and then did the clean install of the 320.18 driver again with just the GPU driver and Physx driver. Rebooted and did a CCleaner again.
After that, I installed Precision X, Cyborg RAT 7 program, the Logitech keyboard program and my other background programs. This is probably over kill again but I ran CCleaner and then rebooted and waited a couple minutes to make sure everything settled down in my PC before installing the next program.
After that I enabled all the other disabled stuff all at once and then rebooted.
I’ve been playing BF3 and Crysis 3 single player for the past 7 days and so far so good, a couple days playing BF3 for 4 hours straight. Also, mem clock is at +38 the rest of the GPU’s settings are at stock settings. I haven’t seen any game improvement with any more overclocking other than doing the slight mem clock O.C.
I’ve just changed my mouse to the Logitech G9x this past Friday, so the RAT 7 is no longer in my sig.

Which of the two would you recommend me buying?

http://www.newegg.ca/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16811129042

I don't have enough space for a Full towered size case so it has to be a bit smaller. Mid Tower is fine.

This is what I and my girl have!! Its a awesome case by far and its really not that expensive!!

I had actually bought that case last year on a major sale. But it was way too large for the space I have available for my computer. So I had to send it back.

Thermaltake Cases are overpriced anyway, thier is way cheaper ones out thier that do the job with the same simalar feutures

You will like the antec 300 when you get it zeriu, it keeps my GTX 570 at 38c idle and 77c on load, so it will be no problem for the GTX 770 which is much much cooler since its a newer card.

Just an update guys.  Been running my 780 SC ACX on the modified 314.22 drivers.  No issues whatsoever.  Played Crysis, Crysis Warhead, Crysis 2, Witcher 2, Skyrim and a bunch of other games all on max.  Witcher 2 was 38 fps or so with ubersampling on.  Everything else stayed above 60 (I have my adaptive vsync on).  I hope next drivers wont have issues 320 had.  My 570 was crashing with the 320 drivers as well.
