Videocardz is still a pretty new website and has yet to prove it self of giving out credible information. Same goes for GPUBoss.

It's interesting though, a gtx990 with 8gb of VRAM? This is going to have everybody confused.

The rumored GTX 990 is, according to their graph, two GTX 980 cores on one PCB. In other words, 2x 4GB memory on a 256 bit bus.

So, as the man says, not actually 8GB, but rather 2X4GB (unless DX12 performs the magic you had a discussion about in another thread, Stalin). AMD did the same thing with the R9 295X. I've seen people still argue to this day that their card has 8GB... sigh.

I finally got my first step-up 980 from the 970. I'm digging the side lighting  Plus, a huge difference, but this is just from (1) 980 right now. I'll be getting ordering the 2nd step-up probably this friday.
