Video card outputs query

Hi all,

I have an i7-2600k oc, two GPU, an evga 980 and an evga 750ti in my rig, anyone tried gaming at 1920x1080p which is connected at the gtx 980 while running a movie connected to a smart tv (gtx 750ti)? Any performance degradation or stutters? Have you guys tried this setup before? will there be sound separation between my gaming and hers watching movie between two gpu?
 
I'm doing this as my gf is moving in with me, and she's quite a movie addict.

    There would be no need to use a separate card for a configuration such as this. Even with a 2nd video card the primary card will be doing the majority of the the processing anyway while the 2nd card idles. Also video playback is mainly done by the CPU unless the video player utilizes Cuda processing. Also windows only allows 1 default playback device. So if you're playing a game and a movie is playing at the same time, you will get both audio streams through the computer speakers, usb head set, or TV speakers which ever is set as the default. If you can find a video player that will allow you to set the audio output to a separate device other than the default then you can get separate audio streams to 2 different outputs.

    thanks for the reply, in the end my gf and I decided to totally  separate the PC and HT but both was on the same network sharing movies. have a good day.
