Question,

I have 3 2560 x 1600 monitors and one Titan. How can I maximize my titan settings wise in an aircooled setup? Do I need a second titan to run 7680  x 1600 tf2 is ok, but Skyrim is a bit laggy with some mods and I am not sure if thats due to settings since it says its only using 50%

Have you let Precision X run in the background while gaming and then gone back and looked at the graphs? Am I reading right that you are only using 50% of a single Titan at Surround 1600P? Something must be wrong there if so.

I've found some games for pretty cheap over the last week, so I'm going to be adding two or three games in a smaller Part 2. Hitman: Absolution especially seems to use quite a bit of memory in what little time I've spent in it so far (literally less than an hour), so it will be interesting to bench. Also Tomb Raider is another one. I've seen people complain about maxing the VRAM on that game, although I have to say so far I expect to see a similar story in Tomb Raider as many games in Part 1 ... seems I run out of power before nearing 3GB, but we'll see what the numbers show. Hope to have it up soon once I find decent spots in the games to bench.

Very well done review, the information is definitely helpful for deciding if the extra VRAM is even helpful.  This question seems to pop up regularly.

For Surround/Eyefinity users as well as future 4k TV users on consoles will possibly always ask the questions.  "Do I have enough Vram?"

I think from Maxwell and on we might see a nice jump in Vram is my only guess.  Can't wait for Unified and Stacked Vram.

I agree on all accounts. I think the 800's and 900 refresh will have a pretty huge boost in memory to go along with the newer game engines and everything that will be developed from the new consoles. I then think Volta with the crazy memory bandwidths will be when we see Surround 4K performance jump back up to the levels that we are able to experience with surround now as long as the GPU's themselves are powerful enough. I have a feeling they will be.

Yeah, basically.  I just want a 60 FPS Surround ultra settings @ 5760x1080.  I'll be happy for a very long time till 7-10 yrs from now I decide to get a affordable 4k surround setup.
