You don't change the "boost clock", but you do dial in some additional boost. When people post things like "I'm running with +100 clock and +400 memory" that's what they're talking about.

If you run Afterburner the slider is called Core Clock, in Precision X OC it's called "GPU CLOCK OFFSET".

The card will also downclock the GPU as the temperature gets higher.

Try to keep your GPU temperature under 70 C for best results.  (You can set a custom fan curve.  I keep mine at 90%...and it's still a very quiet card.)

It's pretty impressive how high you can run up the fans and not hear much of a difference.

If you try what ksgsnow mentioned, you'll see better numbers.

Playing a more stressful game will make the card boost higher. Increasing resolution/in-game settings will make the card boost higher.

Is there a way to activate the Turbo Clock that is said on the box? Like the 1860 Mhz? I feel like there should just be a button for that kind of stuff right? If it says Turbo Boost is 1860 on the box, shouldn't I be able to set it there in any sort of overclocking software?

There is a small switch adjacent to the power inputs that switches to 'boost'

The card will boost by itself! Just open a game/benchmark and monitor the clock speed, it will boost by itself.

Yes, you can use EVGA precision x oc kboost feature to force the boost clock.

But no reason for regular users to do that!

I didn't see a marco when I skimmed the thread earlier. Guess I must have jumped right over his comment.

You can click the "K", it's on the lower left on my XoC....it will boost up your card and it will run hotter even when not using a 3d app, game, etc... it's a waste of electricity unless you want to test something since the card will not "downclock"
