Ok EVGA, that is all very nice, but what I'd like to know is this:
For those that defended EVGA instead of
- screaming and yelling
- throwing tantrums
- threatening to sue EVGA
- spending every waking moment bashing EVGA and praising ASUS
..how do we obtain one if we did not get one of your special emails for having a hissy-fit? There is a reason some of us don't have newer cards or even upgraded mobos yet. Of course I'll pay for it, assuming the price is reasonable.

If you review post # 16 ( Below ) or post 84 not quoted. you will notice that they( EVGA ) will first recive a limited amount to send out, I would Imigine if you did not recive one of the limited amount, that you might have a better chance of reciving one when they recive the unlimited supply latter. It is unfortunate that they had to address this issue through a supply and demand process, last month they had none, and no one got any, this month they have some, and some people got them, I can only assume that next month when they have more, more people will get them. Hope your next, If not soon  ; I would imigine that the # of people wanting these is substancial, and that EVGA is working on this along with 580 shortage issues, their regular duties, new board releases, EOLing products, and the things that come up during the Christmass seasion, Supplier shortages andchristmass orders, where most companies try to do 80% of their yearley busness in a 6-8 week period. regardless of when you recive yours, i am sure you will get it before the people waiting on ASUS to send one will get theirs. Small update on this.
We will have a limited number of units late this month/early next. Because of the limited quantity, we will send out units directly to some of the concerned members in the community.
The rest of the units will be ready later next month.

Can someone tell me what this mess of yelling is about? I own a 132-BL-E758-A1 with plans for SLI 580. I see alot of yelling and nobody saying what the issue actually is.
What is this PCI-E adapter and why do we need it?

I emailed Jacob about the molex power adapter and did get a response. First, the email I sent Jacob... I own an EVGA X58 E760 motherboard. Last month, after talking to one of your representatives, I decided to cancel my step-up to one of your new E770's and wait for the new molex power adaptor. I'm running SLI and lots of other components, and have been patiently waiting to receive the molex power adaptor. I've noticed that some patrons on the message boards have begun receiving these. Even though I haven't been "one of the early complainers," I have previously been in contact with EVGA via my step-up situation, and have again been patiently wating. I would at this time like to request one of EVGA's new molex power adaptor's so I can properly operate my EVGA E760 motherboard. Jacob's reply... No users have received this yet, we have a very limited number of units at this moment, so unfortunately I cannot support everyone just yet, but we will be contacting users from the community shortly. I'm obviously not one of the chosen few allowed early access to the cookie jar!!

Part of the problem is we do not know exactley what is causing the issue, some are running OCed SLI 480's and havent seen any problem, others have had issues running a single card at stock. EVGA is being proactive and addressing the issue while it is still an unknown, EVGA reported that it has affected less than 2% of people with such systems, but that is of little concern, or comfort, if you are one of the 2%, or are afraid you will be. Some may feel like this has been blown out of perportion, while others feel like it could be a life or death issue, and their family is in danger. either way, EVGA steped up and is taking care of it, Othey board companies are pointing fingers at Nvidia, or ATI, or released new product without sayinga word, EVGA on the other hand once again showed why they are #1, and the only compant worthy of our loyality and dedacation. http://forums.evga.com/tm.aspx?m=651413&high=mod http://forums.evga.com/tm.aspx?m=615388 Original thread

The question is how can we determine if were "about" to have an issue. I've been running the 480's in SLI since April but I just haven't had time to spend any time overclocking them.....nor will for a while now, lol.
Would it be wise to unplug one of the 480's until we can get the molex or just cross fingers and play at stock speeds? I am running a 920 DO at 4ghz 24/7 and it never gets shut off. I had planned to start running a 3d monitor which should light up the 480's pretty well.
Need it or not....I'd like to be on the list at some point in time at the very minimum. Thanks

Myself unplugged my 2nd 480 ( 6/8pin connectors ) just for my peace of mind till the fix arrives. I removed the OC I had on the cards as well for precaution. Each person should do what they feel is best suited for them till they get a fix. I also disabled the card in the device manager and removed the SLI bridge.

dont determine anything, you will go crazy thinking do i need it or not. just understand that if you have a motherboard that does not have the molex for extra power....you need it imo. there are no hard facts yet, but assumptions and like i said better safe then sorry.

those hx1000 you huys are running on 480's is a no no though, maxes rails reguardless of how you configure. i would be more worried about blowing that psu then the molex/24 pin imo.

Hx1000 is running just fine with two 480's and dual water loops.

I'm not sure how concerned I should be with 2 (580's ) on a HX1000W, Or that I would consider it a no no ;at 600 watts for system and a max of 244 for second card, as quoted by Nvidia. As I never had a issue with the 2(295's) they replaced, and they are quaoted at 680 watts for first card and system,( 80 watts more ) and 289 Watts, ( 49 watts more ) for second card. Even 480's are only listed as 600 and 250. still less than 2(295's ) Someone buying a PSU now, may have choices when picking what to buy, but When I bought my 295's, the HX1000W, was perty much the only game in town. PC power and cooling had a nice one at close totwice the cash, then, but that one has beendiscontinued. A few other companies have something now, but were no where to be found then. I wouldn't buy a HX 1000W today, but only because theAX120 is available. but I'm not shelling out $300 to replace a working PSU if I do not have to. System 1 & 2 have HX1000W's system 3 & 4 have AX1200. ( system 4 a work in progress ) Update the Adapter EVGA sent arived today ( sorta ) ; A Sticky note was placed on my door saying two more delivery attemps will be made, despite the fact that I was here all day . Update 2: second attempt was made yesterday, during the 1/2 hour that I was picking my daughter up from school, Do these guys sit around the corner and wait for you to leave Auggg, hopefully third time will be the charm.

well this is EVGA i live on the otherside of the world and my adapter was waiting for me when i got home today need to take some pics packaged in three diminishing size boxes with peanuts lol this is just awsome

Adapter installed and i've noticed no more Voltage drop on my 12v rail on my PC with the CPU and GPU OC's back on. I wonder if a future 24pin revision will address the voltage loss issues with motherboard + accessory cards and the like. Seems like a Weak link to me for not only enthusiasts but even the general user.

using the bottom slot on my e760 since yesterday with no problems cards are at stock my 5 and 12 went up kind of hoping someone from evga would have a look

lol hey nereus evga sent me an adapter all the way to nz came in a friggen huge box too, and then i had to undo two smaller boxes inside that then a bubble rapped package i was cracking up.so thanx for your offer but they took care of me cheers man

I have the "Power boost" installed and everything is running great. I have my CPu and GPU OC back in place and the V drop on the 12V according to Eleet, and HW mon show it's less then prior. I am happy for the Fix. Thanks EVGA!
