I just built another system for someone and it's about time to deliver it when a package shows up at my house. It's the motherboard that came with the barebones kit I just finished. I double checked to make sure I wasn't charged for it and then I called Tigerdirect. I have been on hold for over 40 minutes and I still haven't talked to a single person. A quick google search and I came across this.... http://www.consumer.ftc.g...-unordered-merchandiseIt says this in part "What do you do when you receive merchandise that you didn’t order? According to the Federal Trade Commission, you don’t have to pay for it. Federal laws prohibit mailing unordered merchandise to consumers and then demanding payment." I almost convinced myself that it would be ok to keep it but my conscience is getting the best of me. At the same time, why should I have to be on hold for almost an hour already and make a special trip to ship it back? Uggggg.  Curse you ethics and morals.

The bad thing is that it is an AMD motherboard and probably the worst one I have ever used. Maybe it's a combination of a bad case too but the system fan header is buried way in the corner, no vga only dvi (I know it is remedied with a cheap adapter but a lot of these are for old folks or cheap guys that still use old school vga monitors.) and some other small issues. Just a cheap $60 board and it would probably be cheaper to get another bare-bones bundle when I do another one so I can't really use it. Maybe I'll try calling one more time...

Reading this just made my day. One thing that really gets to me is those that think piracy is perfectly fine, and doesn't affect anyone. It does, I used to download tons of music without caring, but when I really took the time to think about how they get money, and what exactly I was doing...
I had to slowly buy my music, and delete most of the stuff I don't pay for. However, there is a lot of music on SoundCloud I do download without paying. I try when I get time to download some great music quickly before the author deletes it forever. I've seen that happen multiple times where I would have otherwise enjoyed if they kept it longer and allowed a buy option for those that couldn't buy right there and then. Concerning your situation I most likely wouldn't have driven back, but try to get phone contact with them.

When I ordered a Keurig machine I somehow ended up with an extra one. Being honest like you I emailed the guy telling him about this. I said I would give him 3 days to get back to me otherwise I was selling this to my sister for 3/4 of the price. So 3 business days passed nothing. I sold it to my sister.
With tiger direct and their annoyingly long hold times I would of called twice. Anything past 30 mins wait time and I'd sell it. That's just me though.

Send it back "delivery refused" and maybe they'll process a refund for the one you did pay for. I wouldn't wait on hold that long for their screw-up.
