Hi,

Was trying to install Win 8.1 in UEFI mode and like others with my board they get a stall on the bios posting no more than its logo. I read its because of the video card not being UEFI compatible. I have the 780 SC ACX (SLI). Can anyone please clarify? Any new video roms available for UEFI?

Thanks.

Starting with the GTX 700 series series (750 and up), our cards come with UEFI capable BIOSes straight from the factory, so this shouldn't be a UEFI conflict. Have you checked to see if there's maybe a BIOS update for your motherboard that could help resolve the situation?

I did some research and the guys at Win-raid.com stated that the problem is a compatibility conflict between Nvidia cards, specifically an incorrect set bit on the gop driver inside the video rom, and my bios's ability to load that driver. Doubt Asus will supply a new bios at this point being the mother board is a few years old, so I either go with legacy boot or get an Intel or Amd video card put in instead. Thanks.
