I'm having trouble connecting my GT 730 02G-P3-3733-KR to my TV at 60Hz via HDMI. The TV (Samsung UN49KS8000FXZA) supposedly supports 60Hz via HDMI but it reports it is connected at only 30Hz. Can anyone please confirm that this card will connected at 60Hz via HDMI? Thanks.

Welcome jamoody to the EVGA forums, As for your situation, the graphics card should be more than capable of putting out 60 Hz via HDMI and the most common cause of it not putting out 60 Hz is the if you are not working with an HDMI 2.0 cable. HDMI 1.4 does not get up to 60 Hz. Please check on the cable and let us know if that helps your case at all.

GT 730 has a hdmi 1.4 output. You need a 2.0 output & 2.0 cable rated at 18Gbps for 4k @ 60Hz over hdmi. Check this out too.

The cable is likely a few years old. I'll check it when I get home on Thursday and let you know what I find. I assume it will have a stamp on it indicating if it is HDMI 2.0

pcmaster00 HDMI 2.0 cable. Sajin 2.0 cable
There is no such thing as an HDMI 2.0 cable, they are all the same. The high speed cable HDMI spec has been around since 2008, I don't think you can even buy a category 1 cable anymore. To OP, that GPU only has HDMI 1.4, you'd need a GPU with HDMI 2.0 to get true 4k 60Hz. You may be able to get 4k 60 Hz 4:2:0 as shown in the article posted by Sajin, though I think you'll need to turn off UHD color in the TV settings to get it to work, as per: https://www.cnet.com/foru...ettings-and-hdr-notes/

Any recommendations on a video card with HDMI 2.0 output? There are so many choices at there I'm not sure where to start :-)

How much you looking to spend? What will you be doing with the card?

This setup is strictly for watching 1080i and 720p TV (live and recorded via Mythbuntu MythTV DVR system) on my new SUHD TV. I don't play games at all and have no plans to ever buy a Blueray player. I'm willing to spend up to $200 but I'm not looking to burn money just for the sake of it. Prior recommendations from various MythTV forums suggested that GT 730 would more than meet that need but I'm not satisfied with the clarity of the display (figure edges are not crisp even when not moving). I want to move to 2x deinterlacers but need to get to 60Hz to do that. I assume doubling the refresh rate from 30 Hz to 60Hz will improve the picture, but I'm obviously no expert in this area.

Thanks for your recommendation. Newegg has EVGA 02G-P4-6152-KR available rather than 02G-P4-6150-KR, I assume that's close enough (or better).

No problem. The sc version has higher clock speeds. I would recommend buying the reference clocked card instead.

By "reference card" did you mean 02G-P4-6152-KR or 02G-P4-6150-KR? Sorry, I'm a mainframe guy LOL
