At random but often, the mouse pointer flies around without control.  Lasts for a few seconds.

Other mice do not so its the mouse.

I am using the Unleash software.

Is this a bad mouse?

Thoughts please lest I return it and abandon EVGA as my mouse.

There was/is a known issue with scrolling for that mouse. I don't know if it's related or not: http://forums.evga.com/Torq-mx5-scrolling-issue-m2373315.aspx

I am experiencing pretty much the same.
Which mousepad are you using? Have you changed the LOD setting?

Lift of distance, under OS settings or whatever its called, unfortunately i have mine in german so i dont know what that tab is exactly called.
Theres a low, middle and high setting, setting it higher makes things worse for me.

Well so far its turning out to be a horrible mouse.

I don't want trouble and drama from my mouse.

Its not the only mouse that has problems with certain mousepads, which one are you using.

Dunno, no brand name is on it, just a run of the mill, standard mouse pad.

Does this mouse need a certain mouse pad?

That would be news to me.

    Cheers.

If your not happy with the product, by all means return it for a refund if you still can.  Some people like x brand while others like y brand.

Not a matter of what I like, brother, it's a simple matter of does it work properly.

Trying some different mouse pads BTW and will report back.

Different mouse pad seem sot be fine, go figure.  Or a piece of cardboard.

That is strange, i have never owned a mouse that had issues working on a mouse pad, be it cloth, plastic or metal.
