Well the Titans have been sitting in their store for weeks since launch and have never been in stock.  Whenever they do come in stock they should limit 2 so people can get them.  One person buying up a ton of them to seek profit is just wrong.

I would agree, I kinda wish I could buy my hydrocopper and back plate at the same time but I doubt that's going to happen.

Called the Sales line, of course no useful info... "If the button is green you can buy it. If it's yellow, you can use auto-notify." Gee, thanks.

He was just replying to my facetious comment.  Scarlet-Tech did not buy all of the back plates.  I don't think they have come available for purchase yet.

Sadly, some turd is going to buy that eBay scam and get stuck waiting for it. Hopefully people realize that since it isn't actually released, that the user doesn't actually have it.

If you look at his history, he has sold a lot of EVGA stuff in the past...

Yes, that is fine... How much of it was in his hand when he actually sold it?

If you are willing to pay over triple the normal price and wait for him to get it then ship it, feel free. People seem to believe that just because someone has sold stuff in the past that they are a good person. He is selling his service to purchase items for you, not selling you an item, until he has it in hand, then the price goes back to stock prices.

It's called business, and he is probably making a killing off of it.

Don't forget, people were selling the EVGA Titan X on eBay weeks before it was even released with a mid May ship date. Once you send the money, you are bound by the agreement if they have it worded properly.

Oh.. Wait.. Just looked over at flea Bay... Ship date of May 21-29.. Weird.. That is for the backplate. So please, tell me how he makes it another month holding onto an item that he has.

EVGA GTX TITAN X Backplate
$99.99
Free
Shipping
May-21 to May-29 Est. Delivery

And estimated... So if he misses all of the buys right off, he can just say "it took longer to get them" and PayPal is going to back him.

Like I stated, he is selling his service to buy you stuff.

My comment was more to the point that he has specifically sold the stuff over time.  It is more than a little odd that he would have access to it.  Licensed as a vendor?  Insider?  That was the direction I was moving towards.

I completely agree that he is shady.

@EVGA @Jacob
I would expect that EVGA only provide the backplate to its authorized sellers and limit the number of back plates to house holds.

People who have legitimately purchased the Titan X should have the opportunity to obtain this item...

I would hope EVGA provide Governance over such things. OR saturate the market.

Maybe they can put a button in 'My product' page next to my registered card to buy back plate and other accessories, just like how extended warranty work.

And make it available there first for 24 or 48 hours.  A 'reward' opportunity for being a valued customer.

I think it will be the usual.  It shows up and those paying attention will get them and then they will be sold out within a few minutes.  They usually don't have a lot of stock for their store.

I'm sure you are correct.  The 'Owner Button' is still a nice idea, though.

I would just order one on Amazon and wait until they finally get it to ship, but the X plate is one they don't have to even do that.  I did already purchase an AIO in the event that they get one before I can catch it here.  Assuming I don't go back to wanting to do a custom WC loop again first.  Then I need neither.  Gaming is an expensive habit!

Thanks for the update, Jacob.  At least we can stop refreshing for a few days.

Did you see the idea of having a 'Registered Owner Button' above?  Something to think about.

Do you know if this back plate will work with the 980 Hybrid AIO kit installed?  That is assuming you aren't about to tell us about a Titan X AIO coming soon!!
