I don't have to pay sales tax to newegg, but to tigerdirect, amazon, and dell I do. Just ordered bloodborne from dell and took advantage of the 25 e-gift they are offering with preorder and 5% off with dell advantage, but the sales tax for online ordering always surprises me.

I never thought the stores to be very competitive. We have one in Dallas, and they never helped very much with price matching. Their prices were always higher...unless it was one of their specials!

Thanks for the article. The one distribution center is the one about 2 miles away from me. Because they are closing the store, they are also closing the warehouse. It's a local law that if you have a warehouse or distribution center, you must have a storefront attached to it. And I agree, the store always had STUPID price match rules. No price match to Amazon, Newegg, etc even though Tiger is (well, was) both an online AND retail store. Kinda pathetic. They would only match local brick and mortar stores like Microcenter, Best Buy, and Frys. Throughout my year and a half tenor there, the store traffic consistently dropped. We started carrying less computer hardware and more stupid (Deleted/Foul Language) like mattresses, gun safes, and kitchen electronics. It was really cringe worthy. Coupled with the stupid inventory, management was absolutely ATROCIOUS. Literally, negative, belittling morons were getting promoted; I had my sales manager call employees a waste of payroll and call them names and stuff. Reporting these things to HR wouldn't do much, as HR was just as lazy and retarded. I quit back in October, and haven't looked back since. It's too bad, really. Before the douchebag managers and dumb inventory took over, the store was an amazing place to work in. I literally looked forward to going into work every day. The place could have always been SO much better though. Now a lot of my ex-coworker buddies are out of jobs...

I used to purchase from them quite a bit, but now I go between Newegg, amazon and Microcenter (since they opened not far from me). I never had an issue with TigerDirect.

Were they a waste of payroll? If so sound to me they deserved that title... Not only that but how do you know the sales manager suffered from mild retardation? You have access to their medical records? If I'm called names at work I either give it back or just take it... If this little stuff offended you or your co workers please do not seek a job as a pipe fitter or any form of blue collar manual labor... Anyways, I liked tiger direct but I've been getting more and more parts from Amazon lately!
