In the Republic of New Jersey, it is likely not. But, so is j-walking, rolling through stop signs, and making a right on red during some hours. All of which things we do almost on a daily basis. As long as someone doesn't complain, what happens in my basement normally stays in my basement.

Even if a municipality didn't have a law on the books that specifically prohibited discharge of firearms in certain areas, it would probably fall under the definition of more generic reckless endangerment laws.

Seriously...who cares if its illegial or not, that he shot his .22 in the basement. I think its awesome he had the balls to do it. and I would have prob pissed my self watching him with a kevlar helmet ducking behind something to shoot a poly top from 2' away.
