Since this is a specific "I don't have a problem with my card" thread, my current card has ran since day one install without a single issue. I also was one of those "I don't have any problems with my FTW card since (insert date)." Than a while later it started exhibiting the BS100% nonsense, I hope everyone posting thus far without issues stays that way.. Only way I found to resolve the issue 100% was to switch to a different brand.

diegopl2 Are we going crazy? This post is totally irrelevant, a correct operation is what is expected of a high-end product that costs about 500-700 €. It is not news that a graphic card works the way it is expected
It's news because the forum is filled with threads that may give people the false impression that all 10 series EVGA cards are exploding or just waiting to do so.
A thread like this illustrates that the sky isn't actually falling for all EVGA card owners.
Exactly, all the forum talks everytime about 5 or 6 graphic cards...
There is several thousand of cards without problem (at the moment :o ) this thread is here to prove that's not the end of the world..
I only Counted 4 have been reported here on the Forum. The problem is not going away and our Forum will not go back to being a Great Forum for a Very Long Time. It seems to be only a Complaining and Bashing Forum from the Few and are Fueling an out of control Fire The few Need to Stop Dumping Gasoline on Fire and even so the Forum Still may or may not return to a normal state.

I purchased my 1080 FTW on the 27th of July and it went in to operation on the 29th. It runs at full load at least 2 hours a day and up to 4 most days. No issue's to report here. I have always ran a custom fan curve on all my GPU's for many years and do so on my 1080. For me personally I see no reason the flash the new vBIOS, but I did install the thermal pad kit since it was free & easy to do. I always monitor various temps while gaming including the GPU temp. I did see a decrease in temp (after the thermal pad install) of 3 - 5C. Max used to be 60/61C under load, now 56/57C. Same games, same settings, same fan curve used.

After RMA #1 (artifacts/memory issues), and then RMA #2 for ("a TIM problem"), my third 1080 FTW seems to be very good. In fact it's freaking me out how much cooler it seems to be running. I'm not having any problems at all with this card, and it has the updated vBIOS and all thermal pads installed. It is boosting to 2012MHz and VRAM staying at 5005MHz. I have stressed this card a lot to make sure it was solid, and after about a week of non stop stressing/gaming, it has proven to be a keeper (getting ready to start OC'ing to see what it will really do, just haven't had the time yet -I've only experimented a little w/OC'ing but it's looking pretty good). Although I do get how frustrating this whole scenario has been - because I was on the receiving end of it, twice! But EVGA was more than accommodating toward me and my concerns, and I now have a perfect card, which is showing no signs of any probs. To sit around and worry that its going to fail at any moment or catch fire is ridiculous. I could also be hit by a bus while crossing the street today. I'm satisfied now, and my card is doing great.

1070 FTW here. Latest Bios + Custom Fan Curve ( without pads) Running at 2100/4500 since i have the card and so far no problems. No Black screens, no sudden 100% Fans or something else. I know it doesn't mean much ( because the important temps are not shown.... ) but Temps are most times between 51-56. Hope this remains so.

this is my third EVGA video card but my last. I have optd out of the RMA process and decided to get a full refund from the retail seller since the card was less then 30 days old (only lasted 2-1/2 weeks). Thank god I had this option a never ending RMA process would be very disappointing. I went back to my poor running 970 card that was also disappointing.

I got my 1080 FTW RMA and the card is running ALOT cooler then the one I got on preorder. I was getting temps of 82c when playing BF1 but with the new card with thermal pads it does not go over 62c

This thread is VERY relevant; it shows who has a working card. If you want to complain, there are a lot of threads already doing that. Go there and rant, or better yet, create a support ticket on the evga website, and just unload onto the EVGA tech about your card being a paperweight; that's why they are there, not come on here and troll someone's thread because they are happy with their card, and you are not. Again, this thread illustrates who's cards are working, and I really hope EVGA is paying attention to it. Edit: Actually, I want to edit my post and state that all y'all crying about your card not working, you all need to rant to EVGA techs and/or complain on other thread that are also ranting about their cards not working. Asinine complaints on a thread that compliments their card working does not belong here. I am requesting that all moderators remove such posts as it does not relate to the topic of this thread.

Thermal pads will make them run 20c cooler.

Just got done playing Star Wars Battlefront with my son for 8 hours straight. No issues, I've been keeping the PC off until we installed the new thermal pads, which arrived Thursday. Nice to actually use the $2500 PC now for what my wife and I built it to do, (gaming and media streaming) pfft! Haven't played anything since I sold my SLI 970 FTW 2.0+'s last month. Glad to see a thread like this, especially with all the negativity around here lately.

If it's possible to precise if you have pads or not pads... Of course, it's more relevant to post here if you dont have pads on your card I think... I want also prove here that not having pads is not the end of the world and thats there is a lot of cards without pads who works like a charm :) Like mine... I'm gonna create the "no pads club"

Mine was problem free for a month with just the bios updates, no additional thermal pads until last week. The Fujipoly stuff I bought was more like putty, so I don't think that counts....
