Quite possibly. I didn't think the EVGA version was out that long.

    BioHazardSperm/ Intel QX9770/ 4.0Ghz / 1.39V / 26 / 74/ EVGA Frostbyte   (1week old and IBT tested 4 times 10 runs each)
I used IBT Max stress 10 run ,VID shows 1.4625 but with Vdroop its 1.39 in Bios (see attached stability/stress pictures below)
Room temp was 56f (13.33C  i think ) and PC was running 8 hours before test started so Idle temp is not a mistake.

I didn't realize this was for the EVGA Superclock only. I thought this was a general thread of your temps and OC. I'm using Megashadows with two Delta fans at 3700 RPM

Might want to change my TIM to 'Mystery Paste' as apparently the paste that comes with the SCC is not Frostbyte(bite?).

load temps tested with IBT2.51 - 8 rounds in max stress mode with closed case (up to 5-10C difference when I open it up hehe). All depends on what problem to solve the IBT picks for the test (it varies from test to test), sometimes 1 round will take 2:30mins (8GB RAM), some other times it will take 3:20mins (also 8GB RAM) to complete it at same settings (max stress mode)... hard to compare such results, as under load temps vary too ...

my ambient room temps are around 28C/83F on average and my case doesn't have the best intake-exhaust flow despite using 1,900rpm scythe slipstream fans...

    EDIT:
I think we all should note the ambient room temp at the moment the test starts, also Mother Board temp could be helpful in determining ambient in-case temps before the test starts.
some people have like 13C ambient room temp and super strong cooling in cases, while folks like me live in hot apartments with almost 30C ambient and around 40C MB temps...

And lastly we should be using the same stress tester with same settings, e.g. LinX with same Problem size (not sure which is best) parameter or using max available (minus 300MB) of RAM , 10 rounds (for some it will be 30 mins, for others it will be 2 hours...)

IBT is not a good choice actually as it tends to vary the linpack libraries (or problem sizes) based on currently available memory from test to test which skews the load temps kinds like +/-5C sometimes. We need something repeatable...

decided to put the cpu cooler fan on smart setting in bios... 40dB all the time is a bit too loud to my ear

with smart fan setting it runs at 1,600rpm below 60C (on CPU per BIOS), above that it runs at full speed 2,500rpm

it affects my idle temps, now ~ 50C (vs 45-47C at 100%)

Re:The "Post your temp" thread. 2011/07/01 10:47:58 (permalink)
I'm impressed. the idle temps got improved significantly, probably thanks to ICD curing, now even with fan running 1,600rpm at idle (smart fan enabled) I am getting around 45-47C depending on ambient. nice!

that seems like a few good degrees better than with former Xigmatek HDT-S1283 cooler.
for some reason the under load temps are not so cool, but maybe I just cannot repeat the same conditions of testing (ambient temps and software used, e.g. folding or IBT).

Did you read the temps off of the mobo? If you did, that would be the CPU temp not core temps. Use something like Real Temp

just ran another 20 rounds of IBT 2.51 in Custom mode (using 6300MB, 8GB setup) and experienced one of the weirdest test where 1 round was taking up to 500 seconds (only around 30 GFlops while normally I see around 50 GFlops).

test passed with no errors, but took ages to complete (nearly 3 hours). I kept the side panel open and saw the max CPU core temps at 71C, usually around lower 60's C.

    this only proves 2 things.
    a) IBT tests can vary A LOT and sometimes 1 round will take less time (with higher GFlops) and some other time it can take almost double time (with nearly half of GFlops) and still the test can pass with no errors.

    b) my case cooling causes temps buildup under extreme stress testing and keeping the side panel open drops the CPU temps by around 10C (or more!) on each core.
note that last 2 cores on my quad had faulty DTS that tend to show completely biased temps until they are close to shutdown temps (~100C).

that are temps in closed CM 690 II while folding bigadv on cpu and one gpu client (gtx460 fpb) with original fan @ ~1700 rpm

I must be doing something wrong.
    i7-920 3.8Ghz Vcore 1.247 realtemp 78/76/76/74 using ICD(2 months)
Cooler is in the open, no case. Ambient 86 F.
It seems to be doing much worse than my Frio with the lowest fan speeds. And I've remounted it. Idle temps are higher too.  Maybe if I added a pull fan then it'll drop?

    21x134 HT OFF 52 48 51 48 Frio HIGH
    21x134 HT OFF 54 51 53 50 Frio LOW
    19x201 HT ON  73 70 70 68 Frio HIGH
    19x201 HT ON  77 75 75 73 Frio LOW
    19x201 HT ON  78 76 76 74 EVGA HIGH

Got it mounted on the right side blowing out near an exhaust fan? Idle CPU temps for me now sense i greased it properly. I forgot what temps i was getting out bt sense i switched afew fans around it's been A LOT cooler even with my room around 78'F.

Did you also fill the holes between the heat pipes? If not you'll prob want to. I used that idea from Artic Silver's website.

YEP Idle at 4.2GHz the CPU remains a cool 33/34'C
At 4.2GHz doing the Intel Burn in test the CPU sits at 69'C

I had it outside the case just so I can test both my Frio and the Superclock under the same conditions, I think I got the gaps filled using the dot method and when I took it off it looked pretty even and spread out.

Imo, I use a layer on the bottom of HDT coolers and swipe it off to fill the seems between the pipes and base (like bondo).  Then apply the TIM with a thin line perpendicular to the heatpipes, then seat the cooler normally.  Seems to get the best coverage, imo.  Not sure if anybody else uses this method.
