Thanks for the help. That keeps my FPS at a constant 100FPS now. It's amazing how Nvidia can't implement this in their own drivers...

Tried this game in the morning. Just one match though, but that was enough for me. Mostly overhyped.

I think its a great installment. The balance is good, other than support.... other than that its awesome. It really brings me back to BF 1942 which i think thats their plan. EA will market WW1 and make bank off WW2. I love how the heavy artillery shoots like 1942... can't wait for the next installment. I WILL be purchasing BF 1

Been playing runs great, but does not look as impressive as the trailers make it look. The other thing is it does not feel like battlefield. Feels more like a fast paced COD... Or really battlefront. SMH
BF1 actually feels the most like a battlefield game in a long time. This feels more like BF1942/Vietnam which are still my favorite battlefields. In what ways do you see this like CoD?
Go play battlefront, then come back to Battlefield 1 then play Battlefield 4 or even BFBC2 you will see it does not feel like a battlefield game in terms of game mechanics/weapon feel. You will notice it feels like Battlefront/COD/Titanfall in the terms on how the shooting mechanics as well as game play feels. It just does not feel like a battlefield game in that aspect at all=/ Even heavy weapon power ups... when was that a Battlefield mechanic? Flamer thrower and the heavy machine gun should go under support and assault as a load out.

I'll still probably buy it and play it - but as an all BF Veteran , this is more like the latest Star Wars than anything else... I know I'm getting sucked in by the new maps and new graphics era looks to it ,.. but I can feel the exact same netcode issues underneath as BF4. This is A little slower, floatier than I like in my FPS's . Actually enjoying the gunner in the biplanes more than being on the ground because of poor hit detection/ around corner dying ... I want to believe in this .... but after the "NEW'ness wears off like in SW:BF, I am feeling like I'm going to be disappointed a bit., again...

Never thought I'd miss battlelog but I'm so used to using it now among other things on my secondary monitor. Some may hate me but bring it back. Lots of other little glitches that I'm sure they will iron out before release.
I was not able to fix SLI but I will try the earlier fix shared here thanks @houkom.
The good news is CF with the new driver is working fine in DX11. Using free sync was smooth too with a pair of 290x but it was using 100% of the 4GB of memory can't wait for Vega. I know..... Blasphemy lol. It never dropped below 78 FPS @ 2560x1440.
I was struck by how much system memory the game is using at idle I use 2600mb and in game it went as high as 9600mb and all threads in and around 40-60%

When I first started it ran like crap. It turns out "Resolution scale" at 100% does not mean run the game at 100% of your resolution, 50% does, which is weird.
The game looks very pretty, I'll give it that. But it will always still be a Battlefield game with 64 players running around randomly doing whatever pleases them and not what's good for their team. I bought Battlefield 4 and only put a few hours in it. I never even bought the Star Wars one.

I am testing this battle FAIL 1 beta since some of the better players that i know want me back   . Not impressed, really, it feels like the previous recent titles  . With 1 monitor i still pwned the campers at rush  , tea bagging still effective though with better pixels

Definitely had a blast playing the beta but that will only go so far it doesn't feel like most of the Battlefields it is different I'm not sure yet if its in the right or wrong direction.

This game needs some serious work. You can shoot a tank shell at a prone soldier, but they won't die and the ground below them explodes, leaving them in a crater... what the **** is that? Also, shooting craters with multiple people in them won't always kill them. Running them over won't always kill them either. It took 3 tank shots and two series of running two guys over the kill them. This is worse than BF4 in terms of the terrible netcode. This is me complaining after going 3 games in a row without dying and getting MVP each game. That's saying something.

I have been doing really good in the tanks and can kill enemies in one shot easily; also lots of road kills lol. The light tank and artillery truck are great.
The net code isn't perfect of course, I wasn't expecting DICE to actually fix it lol, but I haven't seen it worse than BF4.

I've played two rounds and this game seems promising.
I'm not sold on the W.W. I theme, but thought the game is at least decent. I would like DICE to add another map in the beta, as they have done in previous installments, before deciding if it is worth pre-ordering.

To me, the setting is neat but it's lacking creativity. There is little new and the gameplay feels too light. Zero or little immersive feeling. That's why I cancelled my pre-order. It's not for me.

At full ultra settings my single 1080 and i7 6900 machine is holding 60s/70s framerate at 4k resolution. I'm quite liking the performance. I've never played any of the BF games, but I've played other shooters in the past, and I'm still getting used to having to lead moving targets, deal with serious bullet drop like in real life, etc.
I'm doing OK in the game, but still getting killed more than I'm killing others. I can see it being pretty fun, particularly with a good team in discord or teamspeak.

Does anyone know how long this Beta will run for? The game seems to run decent, but the server I was on last night suddenly went laggy for the end of my game play [30 minutes]. I noticed my ping of 60's was in the 90's and back down, it seems like other players were also experiencing this too. I have enjoyed it so far, but I agree another map would be nice.

They need to get the gameplay mechanics right, vehicles are pretty spot on, but running and gunning needs a ton of work...
Assault and Support should get the Heavy weapons in a load out like in BFBC2 Vietnam. Seems like all Semi Autos are OPed in the game.

i agree, the horse is too OP, running over people killing them is not fun, it is what i call: Meh! fun, but i like the scream charge.....lol. I basically do that all the time when i run out of ammo. i have my collection of tags already . If you are sniping on the mountain, i'll parachute on top of u with a stabby stabby. , if not i'll take my horse up there and go hiyo silver on you . Game feels like BC2 but i'll skip it it it it, cough, it!

Update the graphics cards of your drivers, you need to have the latest ones, if not make sure you have all the windows update downloaded, that tends to hold up certain things. Also make sure you are not encountering any overheating issues. =

The horse is super easy to kill actually. It is a free kill for me every time I see one. The only time they kill me is when they come from behind and I don't see them. They can only swing their sword on the right side and their gun is not good. So if you get on their left side, they can't kill you at all with the sword and then it's a free kill. Just don't be stupid and stay in front of the horse to get run over and you are good, just step to the left.

Still OP, takes a few rounds (more than 5) to kill the horse...lol. Even if you headshot the horse still going. Sword killing is the best easy kill for me as well. Even the tanks/train can ran over the horse instant kill, cars dont do squad..lol horse bounces around like pinball

Good to hear, hope you have fun playing with the raging kids. By the way those who don't know how to play the game yet, i'll suggest going to an empty server and practice the vehicles mechanics : 1. To buy/updgrade guns, pistol, ammo/medic packs, etc. you need to get warbonds points. When you start playing the game i will suggest getting in a vehicle and take over flags, arming/disarming bombs to rank up faster to get the warbonds. 2. Once you got enough warbonds points you go to customize and buy the guns of the class provided. please keep in mind you need to choose the class and then click customize to buy what you want for that particular class. 3. When you are the first to take a flag point they usually have a special weapon to use (press "R" to get that weapon), it could be a heavy machine gun, flamethrower (they usually have this on B point), etc. The downside of these special weapons only 1 person can use it, not all. 4. When you are ready to deploy they have different type of tanks, it could be the big, medium, small tank to use. The airplanes as well, they have different types of airplanes not just one. Most, not all carry secondary weapons of which you can use by pressing "F" on the keyboard and to change a secondary different view press "C" (i would recommend to use this when using tanks. Hope this helps a bit.

Still OP, takes a few rounds (more than 5) to kill the horse...lol. Even if you headshot the horse still going. Sword killing is the best easy kill for me as well. Even the tanks/train can ran over the horse instant kill, cars dont do squad..lol horse bounces around like pinball
Well you are doing it wrong. Don't shoot the horse, again that is a rookie mistake. Shoot the actual player on top, they have separate health bars. The player still has the exact same health as he does on the ground. So again, just stay to the left side and shoot the player (not the horse) and it's a free kill. If I can kill them without any problem, every single time, they are in no way OP. You just have to know how to counter them like everything else in the game. If you just shoot the horse and/or stay in front/right side, you need to rethink your strategy. Don't keep doing things the same way if they aren't getting you good results.
