Just got my Titan today and it's already installed; however, it seems to be running kind of hot. It's around 80-84 gaming. Is this normal? This is also with a window AC about 10 feet away from my computer. I'm pretty sure I have pretty decent airflow in my case.

That's normal temps for TITAN X. Really lot of people report exactly same temperatures.
This is from TPU review TITAN X...

You will need to play little with fan profile and with custom temperatures will be better.
Maybe even manual fan speed arround 70%.
No one leave fan on Auto for gaming on high end graphics, not even with dual cooler, special not with reference.

That's the target temp for a Titan x during gaming. Only way to get it power is to Alamo a acx cooler or water on it. Maybe more aggressive fan profile but that's about normal for Titans.

I bumped up my case fans to max and set the fan on the card to 70. It's around 63 now, thanks.

check the torque of all screws holding on the cooler,

remove the cooler, clean up the thermal paste with coffee filters and 99% iso, reapply your preferred NON CONDUCTIVE thermal paste ( I like tuniq tx-4 ) others like mx 2 / mx 4 / gelid etc, whatever you prefer

sometimes they can be loose, or have too much paste from the factory,

Vince just had an issue with his signature 980 TI Kingpin having a few with this exact issue, poor quality control from the mfg evga uses.

No reason to live with excessive noise just to keep it under 84c. It wont damage anything at that temp.

when I game or run benchmarks or fold my cards stayed around 60 c with a custom fan profile when I anm not gaming the are around 35 to 38 so maybe you check your air flow of your case also as above you could reapply the thermal paste

The card hits the termal limits pretty fast but never surpasses it. Get a custom water cooling kit or more internal fans if it worries you.
