That's not right. The guy with the desk is adding a bunch of accessories to his pics which have nothing to do with the case itself. For that just make the contest about the entire room. NO! case for case, this Tron Lightcycle is years ahead of that dumb desk. I really hope they add a panel of judges to this contest.

Sorry if the guy that made the S/S desk is a member here but if that mod wins it would be a total fraud. Just being honest.

I never got a confirmation email on my vote for the TRON Lightcycle either.

and what's with that L3p D3sk build having 685 votes at time of this post and the TRON Lightcycle only has 179 votes?

Something very fishy going on here.

I'm sorry there are so many people having issues with the voting verification. I hope CM figures something out.

As for the L3p D3sk, the guy opted to post his direct link on a gaming blog site this morning in order to garner more votes.  I guess it worked lol.  Not sure if that is legal or not, but that is for CM to decide.  Personally, I don't think it's worth the effort, being only 30% of the total score, but to each his own.  He must be worried!

That desk doesn't even compare to the Art work you have created.
Give me some Stainless Steel, some Glass, and a file Cabinet and I can do the same thing. Hell just about anybody who has hand/tool skills can do that. It's just another 1 of 100's of Desk Computers out there and while I admit they look cool. You should win this thing.
What you did took skill and planning. No one else can do the work you do.

Edit-oh I'm sorry, didn't read his lame description. Aluminum, which makes it even more garbage for this competition.

Well, the good news is, I finished it in time.  The bad news is I couldn't get it to power up.   Some kind of short in the wiring prevented anything from running more than a second, and me with no time to troubleshoot.

Regardless, here are the final pics (power to lights and fans provided by spare psu).  Enjoy, and I'm off to sleep for a couple days. ;)

This is definitely the Case Mod of The Year!  really a true masterpiece!!
Great go'n man!

I did not receive confirmation for my vote and the vote count did not go up either. Makes you wonder if these contests are rigged and if its worth the time to build a "Work of Art " to enter into the contest. Excellent work Boddaker!

the email took a few hours for me to get but i got it.

there is no need to hate on the desk it is a sick build. the problem i have with it is i have just seen this before.  seems kinda common now in custom cases for people to build a desk case. haha there is 2 desk cases in there now haha
i like the lil beta case alot. it is nice an simple yet  really sharp looking

the starcraft2 case is pretty hot also.
there is alot of nice work there. some of the cases  kinda suck. i voted for the tron bike just cuz i loved watching the build tread. but my favorite case there would prolly be the beta

I have a 3D monitor and plan to make a TRON style bezel for it.  I just couldn't do it for the contest.

In other news, the wiring issues have been worked out, and its up and running.   But it's now on its merry way to be shown at Computex, and I didn't get a chance to do any testing on that rad.  So a temps report will have to wait until I get it back after the show.

Here's a 2500 x 1600 I did of the last pic.  I'm not entirely happy with these pics since I had to rush to get them uploaded, So when I get the case back and finish the monitor, I'll do a proper photo shoot.  Then I'll make some more wallpapers available in various sizes. :)

Huh, still no Conf. vote e-mail. Also the desk has been done, so that's over rated...

I guess we just carn't rally enough members to the cause we really need a massive push for recruitment for members to vote

While the TRON mod is absolutely amazing, I do believe the DESK mod is more practical. I found myself looking at the DESK mod more than the TRON mod. I should go for another sentence with mod in it..

I have to agree, seen desk rigs lots of times, never been that into them. The Tron bike though is something else entirely.
