Replacing old HP desktop and have not built a PC in quite a while (10+ years), just putting together all my component pieces and thought I'd see if it should be enough power to run my new EVGA 04G-P4-3975-KR GeForce GTX 970 SSC ACX 2.0+ 4GB 256-Bit GDDR5 PCI Express 3.0 SLI Support Graphics Card - Which is replacing a MSI GT640 I had purchased from a friend.

Any words of wisdom on installing the card when it arrives or is plug & play and am I missing anything?

Here's my system specs:
Phanteks Enthoo Pro Full Tower Chassis
EVGA SuperNOVA 750 B1 80+ BRONZE, 750W
Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO -
Intel Core i5-4690K Processor 3.5 GHz
Kingston HyperX FURY 8GB 1600MHz DDR3
Gigabyte LGA 1150 Z97 SATA Express M.2 for SSD ATX DDR3 1600 Motherboard GA-Z97-D3H
AOC 24" Class LCD LED Backlit Monitor
2 x Crucial BX100 250GB SSD
Seagate Barracuda 1TB
Windows 10

Your EVGA Power Supply should be more than enough

AMD Ryzen 9 7950X,  Corsair Mp700 Pro M.2, 64GB Corsair Dominator Titanium DDR5  X670E Steel Legend, MSI RTX 4090 Associate Code: H5U80QBH6BH0AXF. I am NOT an employee of EVGA

I use a back plate to help protect the back of the card, and to help slightly on temps. As for the PSU. I always like to get a slightly higher wattage than I actually need. Just to be safe. As you can see in my sig, I have a 1200w PSU. It's more than I need, but I have piece of mind.

A 750 watt PSU is plenty for even two 970s. That's what I was running before upgrading to two 980s, then a 750 was pushing it, so I upgraded to 1000 for extra headroom.
    Nice system BTW
