Just bought a EVGA 1200 p2 from newegg. Haven't hooked it up with my 980 sli yet but I just realized it has 4x 6+2 pin and 2x 6+2 pin + 6pin (2 connectors from one cable). Since my 980s use 2 (4 total) 6 pin pci cables, should i use 4x 6+2 pin or the 2x 6+2 pin + 6pin? I am just trying to give my cars max stable voltage so any suggestions would be helpful. Thanks.

You can use either way but for best performance it would be recommended to use 4 separate wires.

I would go with 4 cables,

These to be exact, the +2's can be easily removed or wrapped up out of the way for a nice clean look also  :-)

Thank you Sajin, Jacobf and Pgcmoore for you input. I hooked it all up last night and it ran fine for about 8hrs before i shut down my pc. However, this morning, i turned on and the psu boots up for 1-2 sec and then shutdown and keeps trying to boot up by itself (never seen a psu do that before) . Not sure what to do, i took my back panel off and jiggled some wire and boom it started up fine and has been running fine since then. Do you guys think its a faulty psu or something shorting out in my back panel?

P.S. My back panel is a bit cluttered so I have to push hard to screw the panel on. Could this have caused the shorting? I ll post back again tomorrow if I have the same issue again.

I am hoping that's what causing the problem. I have ran and shutdown and ran the pc over and over again since then and seems to be running fine. Then again, it ran fine last night and somehow caused the boot up issue this morning. Fingers crossed for now and I am looking into purchasing the sleeved cables for my psu as pgcmoore suggested, hoping it would be easy bend around in the back panel.

It would be nice if the added at least 2 single 6 pin cables to the set.

For SLI best to use these cables...

Than every connector in graphic card have own VGA place in PSU.
    For two cards V1-V2-V3-V4.
If someone use K|NGP|N models than one of both version VGA cables.

I am happy to say that I have not had the cold boot issues I mentioned before. Been running the pc for over 5 hours since this morning and all I can say is that the Supernova P2 1200 rocks. Kudos EVGA for another excellent product.

Just out of curiosity, do you guys recommend running it in eco mode or not?

Your fan spin under full load with 2X GTX980 or not?
    When Eco Mode is Enabled?

I don't know if fan start under load maybe is best to leave Eco Mode Disabled.
Fan will not spin fast, and it's very silent. But if under full load fan is still off than best way is maybe to Eco Mode stay Enabled.

Should the PSU fan spins in the Eco Mode? I have not observed my PSU to do this.

If PSU become hotter than yes...
Maybe even with SLI 1200W will not turn on fan.
