i have this PSU, been working amazing but just have 2 questions:  who is the OEM for this PSU, and will the aftermarket cables for the G2 version work with this G1?

FTW3 Gaming 3090 Ti / 12900KS @ 5.5GHz / MSI Z690 Unify X

    FSP is the OEM. I don't think the cables from the G2 will work with the G1, contact EVGA tech support for further confirmation.

    I'd recommend going with the G2 instead.

    Me too. 
    1000 G2/1000 P2 Rule.
    In this case performance difference is much bigger than price difference and that could confuse people who look to save money on every side.
    No doubt 1000 G1 is Gold platform but 20$ for better and one of best Gold Platform worldwide and 5 years longer warranty even sleeve cables compatibility worth at least 30-40$ difference.
