Today I tested my 2 new 2080 classified cards one at a time.

The first one was a solid champ! Defaults at 2025mhz and I ran firestrike graphic test 2 in loop mode and the highest tempt was 53c.

Never dropped from the clocks I set it at! No limits hit ever. Overclocked like a champ to 2164 and even played at 2190mhz for a min or 2! Didn't need a lot of voltage either. I used 1.050v to loop it at 2164mhz.

Memory overclock was something I was not expecting! All most hit 12k! Only needed to raise the voltage to 1.74v I believe to keep her happy at 5800 something.

Thrilled to death but frightend at the same time cause I knew the next card I'd open would be worse but it was a given.

Was not expecting this. The 2nd card during default run in poc ran at like 1974mhz with 1.064v! Tempts basically the same as the first card in the low 50s. And the kicker... shows voltage limit 1. ??? Why? Default ecerything and runs normally at voltage limit 1?

OK so I try a small overclock just over 2000mhz and it runs and shows tempt limit and voltage limit and power limit all at 1????

Why when nothing seems out of range? Voltage is obviously below max and the power is runing in the low 70s and upper 80s and the temp in the 50-53c range?

If I ran it at +120 it will start at like 2100+ but then drop down in a few seconds and then drop the mhz again and so on all because of the limit alarm but nothing is close to being over the limit?

So I can't run the 2 together because of the always on limits even at defaults. It will drop the mhz over and over.

Also I can't budge on the ram either. Most I can do without a lock up is +96!! More then that it locked up city with in a few seconds.

And yes even at the core runing defaults!

I'm not even moving the sliders over with the power and tempt.. but if I do.. you guessed it. All 3 will show a 1 the whole freaking run with it dropping down from the start of 2000mhz.

So is this a bad card? I mean Im thinking I should not have alarm limits going off on load.

I'd like to exchange the card at mc but it's like what do I tell them for the reason? No way they'd understand what I'm talking about.. all I could say is its a bad card but they will test it and come back and say it's fine. They gota load evga's precision oc program to see what I'm talking about.

I also Uninstaller evga's precision X oc and reinstalled the drivers after using DDU in safe mode just to be sure but nope it's still shows 1 at defaults as soon as anything loads for that 2nd card. And push it it will show 1 for ecerything even though it will overclockre well over 2100+ mhz.

Here's a pic I took of the dreaded voltage limit 1 that's always on.

Edit.. guess not. File too large. Will have to use the pc tomorrow to upload it. My phone takes too large of a pic and I can downsize it. :/

Hopefully.. also at the end of a fire strike bench it shows invalid results..saying there was errors during the run! Ran it twice in a row at defaults for the card.

Since when does MC test the card?  You just tell them you don't want it and that is it.  They have a no questions asked return policy.

Yes I know but I'm talking exchange for the same card.
