Hello.
I would like to ask you about the current situation. I have a GTX 970 and I filed for FTW + in Step-Up program. In the meantime, I started reading about problems with GTX 970. I wonder if you don't cancel my Step-Up and request GTX 980.
The problem is that EVGA does not allow this situation GTX 970 FTW exchange on GTX 980 SC/FTW. I am a poor overclocker and always preferred to buy overclocked models.
I am confused because I don't know which to choose:
GTX 970 FTW+
pros: new cooling system (Memory MOSFET Cooling Plate), better power target, dual bios, backplate
cons: possible problems in the future with VRAM (stronger game - GTA V for example)
GTX 980:
pros: no problems with VRAM, more fps in games
cons: stock clocks, reference pcb, standard voltage control, no backplate
Can anyone advise me what to do? Which is better? The top model GTX 970 or weakest GTX 980? I don't know whether this standard GTX 980 is quiet and cool.
Regards
