Hi,

I'm thinking of doing a step-up but cant seem to find the answer as I'm not happy with the product, It's nothing to do with EVGA, its external product support / availability.

Can you do a step-up from a (EVGA GeForce GTX 1080 CLASSIFIED GAMING ACX 3.0 - P/N: 08G-P4-6386-KR) to (EVGA GeForce GTX 1080 FTW HYBRID GAMING - 08G-P4-6288-KR) as it seems to be the same clock speed.... so its not like a set-up.. ?

Thanks

Don't think so. Going from a classy to a ftw would be a downgrade.

I don't mind upgrading / downgrading at a loss with more cooling options... this card is just too hot

The FTW is not part of the Step up process. Only reference clocked cards are. You could step down from a classified to a 1080 reference blower or 1080 ACX 3.0.

Sounds right... you need to down grade to get better options for cooling the card.... even EVGA doesn't seem to provide any products that support the CLASSIFIED card
