Would anyone know how long it typically takes for EVGA to ship out the step-up card after they received yours? Debating if I want to ship my card in this week (likely tomorrow) or wait until after the 3-day weekend. I would imagine it would only take a day for them to receive my card as I live less than 100 miles from the RMA Department.

McShoeless Well my old card was received by EVGA today. Shipped last week on Thursday. Not sure how long the process is between EVGA receiving the old card and shipping out the new one but if anyone is interested I'll post when it is shipped. I opted for next day air shipping so I'm thinking I'll have my 1080 before the weekend.
I shipped one of my 2 980ti's thursday and it was also received today. I have the other one (which was outside step-up period) to keep using so I just opted for ground shipping. I did the step-up to 1080 FE (cost $10 + $10 shipping) and It'll be interesting to see how fast you receive your card and how fast I receive mine.
Definitely, I'm curious about how long it takes from EVGA receiving the old card to actually shipping out the new one. Did you get any confirmation from EVGA that your card was received? Only reason I know they received mine is because I was tracking it on UPS.

Wow that's fast, mine was recieved yesterday. Didn't hear anything from EVGA yet. Some confirmation that it was recieved and everything is good with the card would be nice. I had ups package it for me so hopefully it wasn't damaged or anything in transit.

Yeah my only concern is I'll be out of town for a few days for the holiday weekend. Was hoping to have it in hand Friday so I paid the extra for next day air. Oh well I'll get it when I get it. First world problems, especially when people are still struggling to find a 1080.

Does anybody know if you can hand deliver you Step-Up card? I only live 13 miles from their headquarters and drive by at least once a week in my travels. Prolly wishful thinking on my part.

I never received a notification that they received it. I just watched the UPS tracking number I used to ship it and then when it said delivered, started watching the step-up page on my product on EVGA's site. I noticed it update there last night. About an hour ago I received a UPS notification with a delivery date of July 5. With the holiday, that's about right for UPS ground. The EVGA part number on the UPS notice says 08G-P4-6180-KR which is right for the expected FE part. In case you're wondering, I chose the FE specifically for water cooling purposes.

Nope, I don't remember where off hand but there is a statement in the step-up process specifically refusing this.

Found it.. it's on the step 5 of 5 email (the one where they give you the shipping instructions: EVGA does not offer DROP-OFF or WILL CALL services for any RMA. If you're that close, I'd actually recommend just shipping it US mail from the post office. It'll cost a lot less and will almost certainly be delivered within 48 hours.

I read somewhere on the step up FAQ that they don't accept drop offs. You have to mail it in. But at least shipping will be cheap for you.

Nice I just got an email from UPS my choice that I have a package scheduled for delivery from EVGA tomorrow afternoon. I went with the FE too, I intend to SLI with another FE in a few months, didn't want to deal with heat issues with two custom coolers.

Do you have to pay the shipping to send the card to the EVGA warehouse? Or they send you a sticker like an RMA? I'm little bit lost here :/

I had to pay shipping to send it back. They didn't give me any sort of pre-paid shipping sticker.

You have to pay shipping both ways, but my return shipping was refunded by EVGA as an apology for the delays with supply so it worked out.

My replacement arrived at EVGA Friday at 10 AM before the long 4th weekend. It just moved to received the card status today (Tuesday), I'm hopeful it will ship soon and I will get it before this Friday. The long weekend was painful on my old EVGA GTX 770. I had to stick to all the old games, which was fun in a way, but not what I wanted :) Even though this program takes a while, it is still a great opportunity to not get screwed buying a EVGA card close to a new cards release. I'm waiting on a 1080FE.

I received an email on Tuesday, June 28th and paid that day. Received step 5 email to send in the card a couple of hours later. Did not ship out my GTX970 until today (scheduled to be delivered to EVGA tomorrow). Will update when I receive the card. If you're curious, I stepped up no more than an hour after it was available and was #52 in queue.

Aha! Thanks for the info. That's good news for me actually, I submitted step up request late morning on the first day of availability, and was in the 60's in the queue before the number got removed. So maybe mine is coming soon too!
