Figured I needed to poke my head in here to bother you guys once again. Well here we go.

Another AMD rig by the guy who doesn't know when to quit.

Sparkplug:

FX-4100
GTX-660 SC 2gb
ASRock 990FX Profesional (De-badged)
Arc-Midi

The idea was to make a quiet rig with out resorting to extreme cooling methods, and the other idea was to have a nice simple rig which used very little power, I got what I wanted. No issues gaming on my 1200p, runs very quiet with 3 140mm's and 3 120mm's. Five of the six fans are setup as intake, so most of the case air is pushed out the one exhaust fan, and the GTX-660 (works out very well by the way)

But I'm sure you guys came for the pictures! While nothing special, I enjoy its clean. no fuss. no muss look.

After a small look under the heatsink detailed here I was able to push the little 660 out to about what I think is a comfortable maximum for the card of a 1202 boost clock and 6808 mem clock

3DM11 weighs in at 6280 thus far
http://www.3dmark.com/3dm11/4481194

Enjoy

    Im all for Bang-4-Buck!

Depending on apps and games, why didnt ya go with a Intel i5-3570K? Unless ya reused most of ur system, on the build?

I would say foolish is an apt word for the situation. The only thing that I have going for me is I only spent 99$ on the CPU and 150$ on the board (It is impossible to get an unlocked Quad and High end board on team blue for 250$)

    Nice B4B.

What do ya do? Game, Fold, Modeling?

I used to do alot of GPU folding the last two years, but lately I have not been folding. As soon as I get a dedicated ISP (which is unknown when I will) I plan to leave some hardware folding again.

For now this is simply my gaming rig.

Very nice build indeed. With the upgrade to SLI 660s have you encountered many issues with games? Won't be for a while but I plan to hopefully get another 660 3g model in my rig for sli. But I have been hearing so many problems arising with sli in games such as far cry 3, bf3, crysis 3, planet side 2 and others.
