Until this moment, developers only had access to six of the PlayStation 4's eight cores. The other two cores are only reserved for the console's operating system. Developers now can use the extra core for a boost in performance.  Link

    Not really going to make any real impact since they're very weak CPU cores. They should unlock all 8 CPU cores and OC the GPU as far as it will go and maybe the PS4 can play games at 1080p 60fps lol.

    Or catch on fire , lol ! I read earlier this evening that they run fairly hot as is . Guess they can call them the Baked Potato 4 now ;). !
