I bought two 1070 FTW one week before Gears of war 4 was bundled with 10 series cards. I guess many of us did miss that promotion.
It would be nice if EVGA in apology gesture would allow us to get these bundles.

Man I think you are forcing it XD as a good gesture they are giving you free crossship RMA and free thermal pads 6w/mk that cost like $20. You are stretching it too much

i believe nvidia was promoting that deal, i don't think it's EVGA's call.
then we got *free powerlink, thermal pads.

Free pads are not a bonus. They are nessesary.
Ccrossship RMA is ok, but i dont have 1000€ on my CC for them to charge.
Free power lint is available for all. Its not something to compensate their mistake.

You are stretching it too much
The pads are actually an expense of card owners, who have been putting undue wear on their cards, and who have to deal with ordering them, waiting for them, and installing them. They're not a gesture any more than a car dealership sending you engine oil after they forgot to put in your vehicle's engine before you purchased it and drove it off their lot is a gesture.

We need to return back to using the Rod, spare the rod spoil the child has destroyed America.
EVGA Needs to Give No Apology, they are taking care of their customers just fine as they always have done and will.

I have the pads arriving Friday but a lot of good they'll be, my 1080SC blew out Sunday and is in EVGA's hands now for a RMA. I'm more concerned with having a rock solid product like they've always provided in the past. I do like the powerlink however, great little item!

Im not saying we SHOULD, im saying that it would be nice.
Why? Because this situation SHOULDnt happen. Unfortunatly it did.
If i spend 1000€ on something, that is not as it SHOULD be, i expect at least a simple official "we are sorry".
They didnt even notify their customers about this problem. Someone who dont read forums wont even know that there is a problem.
No man's sky? Damn i was hoping for Mafia 3 LOL. :)

Yeah, yeah, yeah...... This has all had me so stressed I've been unable to work and have thus lost my job. Now the wife has left with my children, mortgage in default and they've repossessed my car. EVGA really needs to step up and make full restitution for this.

These promotions change all the time. A week after ordering my card, there was bundle including two free games and in-game credit.
There's nothing for Nvidia or EVGA to do in this case, and I'm not the biggest fan of EVGA's at the moment.

Why Youre being sarcastic? I bought two 1070 for 1000€ and belive me its a LOT of money for me. My mobo has only 1 slot spacing between cards in SLi. Top card is getting really hot although i have good air flow. 80'C sometimes even 85'C. Its a ok temp, but i can only guess how hot VRM are getting. Now because of this situation im afraid to play any game and i have to wait for thermal pads for god know how long. All because EVGA made a mistake. Is that ok in Your opinion?

kacketon, the sarcasm (yes, I was indeed being an arse) was not directed at you personally. It was more a general reaction to the innumerable demands/requests being constantly hurled in EVGA's direction. They are doing what they can as quickly as they can to correct the problems.

What were your idle and load temperatures, before your card blew out?
