First time ordering from either of these sites, but,

FrozenCPU is charging $22.95 for the new scythe gentle typhoon fans and they do not come sleeved. But i've heard great things about this site.
http://www.frozencpu.com/products/12365/fan-811/Scythe_Gentle_Typhoon_120mm_x_25mm_Fan_-_5400_RPM_D1225C12BBAP-31.html#blank

Performance-pcs is charging $21.50 for the new scythe gentle typhoon fans and they DO come sleeved, which FrozenCPU charges 4 bucks for, so the total is significantly less at performance-pcs for 6 fans total.
http://www.performance-pcs.com/catalog/index.php?main_page=product_info&products_id=30012

So in short, if you guys have good or bad things to say about either site lemme know, because i'm paying with a Debt card and a bit worried about ordering from online vendors I have no experience with. So, let's hear some opinions.

I have ordered a lot from both vendors and had problems with neither.  Performance PC has a larger and better selection, IMO.

PPC's CS sucks. I havent heard anything bad about FrozenCPU, so if you do make an order, I would probably go with them.

Thanks for pointing out that thread, but if i bought from Frozen and sleeved them it'd be about 27 dollars per fan, but at performance, it's 21.50 with everything. Plus its the 5400rpm fan that was launched this january.

cooling my h70 inside my 800D case using 2 fans, sticking the other 4 in the 4 open 120 slots (all exhaust, one at the base of the 800d, 3 at the top), and if i ever do watercooling, they're great for a radiator i hear.

I have never had an issue with Performance PC's customer service, and  I have returned a few items.  I even called them once after ordering on line and asked them to expedite shipping, and they upgraded it for free...granted it was a large order, but I was the one that failed to do so when I placed the order....and I was expecting to have to pay for it.

so you would use a fan controller vs the cpu pin connector on the motherboard to control the fans on your h70?.....

not quite sure, i like that thermal-star one on frozencpu, but i'd rather stick with all scythe.
the kaze pro controller is 9 bucks cheaper at performance pcs.
card reader is only 15 bucks.

+1  Frozen is good until you have a problem with them then its all down hill from there.  I can't say the same for PPC but I've read some pretty bad stories about them.  I prefer koolertek, jab-tech, sidewinders, and svc.

I've used both and often order from one rather than the other depending on the "In Stock" situation at the time. Having dealt with both customer service departments I'll say that p-pcs went the extra mile when dealing with a manufacturer in Taiwan for me though....

Ok.. My $.02...

Sidewinders is #1...
Frozen #2
PCS is a last resort.

Please FTLOG do not let pricing drive your purchases. What most do (After doing this for a while) is order from all three for price, or order from one because of personal experience in previous transactions, while ordering the few items that one place does not carry...

I am speaking from building well over 20 WC systems. Trust me when I say that PCS is not a preferred vendor on my list at all.

It only takes once for them to "Claim" an item is in stock, "Claim" it has been shipped... And then fight with them for over a month until you give up or they come clean. Is that worth $5 -$15 in savings? No bleeping way...

I bought a fan controller from performance PC's, got the package it was obviuosly used, i didn't think nothing of it at the time, thought just a packaging error, it burned out my motherboard and itself.  PPC's tried claiming they didn't send a used one.  fought with them for 3 months to get it replaced.  Will never buy from there again, therefore i would say frozenCPU LOL.
