I like the Roller coaster tycoon games. I lost countless hours in there. BUT! Roller coaster Tycoon world is apparently not getting good reviews, while Planet Coaster developed by the folks who made RCT3 is getting excellent reviews.
Have any of you tried either or these? Thoughts?

I saw this, and I'm considering getting Planet Coaster. I'm getting word to stay away from Roller Coast Tycoon World, because RCTW is not made by Frontier, but by another developer.

Bought PC. It is RCT... like exactly. Like it so far!

I bought both (yes, I know I have a Steam hoarding problem  ) RCTW has been glitchy and has the visuals of a 5 year old game Planet Coaster has been great but I'm hoping it'll get Vive support to make it awesome

I love the Rollercoaster Tycoon series and had been following the development of the RCT World for quite some time, but things started looking pretty bleak a while back and I gave up on the game. Planet Coaster is now the one that Im paying attention to.

So, I went and picked up Planet Coaster. I Have to say, get it. Get it, because it's a mind blower. The freedom to do whatever you want to do and make things the way you want to make them is unlimited, placing any object you want anywhere. it's really that good. Example, in Coaster Tycoons 1,2 & 3, you were limited where you could put the roads. With Roller Coaster Tycoon, it's endless. You can basically put the roads anywhere you want. There is no fixed way to put the roads, you can put them any way you want to put them at any angle. That includes all bushes, trees, scenery. Even Roller coasters are mindless, the freedom to place any piece the way you want to put them, at any angle.
