All new 2016 Camaro. More power, lighter, better suspension and I'm digging the new look.

It looks better than the previous ones, That's for sure. The front end of course, The rest looks pretty much the same.

My co-worker is planning on buying one, But he said he wants the V6, He's not into cars, Just wants it for the looks of it.

The new SS model is supposed out-do the previous years 1LE model, going to be very interesting with what the platform swap will bring in terms of performance.

So glad that they dropped it from the Zeta Platform and put it on a diet with the transplant to the Alpha Platform.  It's supposed to be more than 200lbs lighter than the previous model at about 3,500lbs for the LS and LT options, and about 3,700lbs for the SS.

I thought it looks good in pictures but ugly in person. The interior is great though. I just don't like the roundedness of the exterior now.

I really like the shorter overhang in the front and rear. Have not seen one in person. Generally pictures don't do a car justice. Excited to see one in person.

Looks to much like a mustang to me. i like the little older models beter like the 2012-2014 models. not diggin the new one to much.

Been looking for a new daily. camaro and challenger were what i got narrowed down to. camaro wins due to weight but the challenger looks better imho. The older look but modernized is key. I dont think the 2016 is a good representation of that.

I think they are trying to pull away from the retro look without losing it's major fan base. It's more modern, but you will not mistake it for anything other then a Camaro, well maybe a Camry from the front lol.

I think it resembles a coupe version of the Charger if anything, I don't see anything Mustang related on this car.

I think they could have come up with a better style on the tail lights. They remind me of the Malibu. The rest of it I like, especially the interior and seats.

Yeah the interior is sweeeeeeeeeet! I like the car overall, moved in a more modern direction, plus MORE POWER, less weight and better suspension.

Have not heard anything official yet. Just a little chatter a few months back about the name and possibly offering different engines in different global markets.

I want to test drive one before offering any thoughts. I was going to buy one (Cash in hand, walked on a lot) in 2013 and was HUGELY disappointed. It had NO headroom for a fella of my height (6'2") and one of the worst rear viewing abilities (From the drivers seat, look out the back window/side mirrors) of most cars I had driven at that point.

Then we tied the "Z" and simply felt revving was the only option (Lacked torque) but really enjoyed the interior and bolt on options... Hated the "Looks like most other cars" interior on the Dodges... And ended up in the Mustang...

Now the next two years are going to be an awesome period of human life with vehicles. As the new mileage standards kick in, and companies are finally building "Real" cars for us to enjoy. I could not be more excited with all the options we have and look forward to seeing all of us enjoy the rides we chose!

It sure is especially with cars increasing with more and more electronic innovation by the day. Funny thing is more electronics means more junk you have to fix if something goes wrong. I am sure we all know that majority of people are not as smart as us on the EVGA community when it comes to electronic systems. Also lets not forget the more electronics you have the easier the ability its going to be to tune your vehicle with more power. But a down side you can argue which someone did with me and I agreed with them 100% is that the more electronics you have the more prone you are to privacy invasion. GPS and bluetooth are the big gateways to hack and get into some ones system for their vehicle.

They are making only 455HP with more engine... Seems pretty short of what they could do if you ask me... Their 4 Cylinder model is a joke it's only putting down 276HP...

It is a completely different type of engine, you are comparing a DOHC vs an OHV.  The smaller displacement engine in this case takes up more space than a modern day big block, and has more than double the moving parts and hits its powercurve much later in the band where as the larger displacement engine is physically smaller in size, has fewer moving parts and sees power much sooner in the revs.

The new LT1 (6.2L) that they are dropping these things are seeing well over 550rwhp-600rwhp completely natural, the LS7 at 7.0 liters was accomplishing those numbers.

I do not see it in the realm of possibilities to reach those sorts of numbers without a without a bottle, a blower or cracking open the bottom end to open up the bore of the cylinders in the 5.0L

I agree with a few comments here, many cars are beginning to look a like and this really looks like a Dodge Charger. GM has improved their quality. I hope this has a push button start to eliminate the issues caused by hosers that have fifty keys on their key ring and decrease future liabilities for GM. I have not used a key in my car in over six years. Why would any car not have push button start? Anyway, I do also agree that the next few years will be very nice for the car industry with the litany of options, technology, as well as the maturation of electric and other propulsion systems. I would drive this if someone gave me one.

Then we tied the "Z" and simply felt revving was the only option (Lacked torque) but really enjoyed the interior

It is just how they are. They don't make much power under 3k but are happy to run well above that even as a DD.

The new LT1 (6.2L) that they are dropping these things are seeing well over 550rwhp-600rwhp completely natural, the LS7 at 7.0 liters was accomplishing those numbers.

I am actually thinking about buying an aluminum LS3 (6.2)bare block off my budy for $700. Then looking for a Fox notch back for under $1k to do a cheap weekend drag car build. I fugure I could build a 550hp 2,900 lb Fox with cage for around $10k. Would be a fun toy.
