On a single 1440p monitor, you probably won't need 6gb.  I did manage to get 3066 our of 3072mb used on BF4 with 125% SS, but there wasn't much reason to other than to maximize my usages.

Yea I know...just saying if I waited two months could have had more options.

We definitely got burned with the massively lower prices :/

I wish I had waited 3 months and gotten 2 Classifieds for the same I paid for my SC ACX's used :(

Anyway, we have pretty strong cards so might as well sit tight til the next gen stuff.

Couldn't have said it better myself. I do want some better performance in BF4 though so I think I may capitalize on the price drop and go SLI.

Does your BF4 performance suck too?  I have 3570K @ 4.5 and windows 7 with stuttering and lower FPS than what everyone else claims to be getting.

Doesn't really suck but it does have slows downs at times that are most unfortunate.

The 780Ti Black Edition (for lack of the real name) looks pretty beastly. If that turns out to be the TITAN Ultra that was rumored a couple months ago, AMD could be in some trouble. I'm sad that my $800 TITAN isn't going to be top dog anymore, but if the performance jump is that significant I'll just make the switch :P. I wonder how big of a price drop TITANs will see on eBay?

Well Titan will always be in a league of its own for its double precision compute power. That is if cuda is your thing.

Ugh. Just another thing to make me regret buying my 780 SC at launch. Keep it coming EVGA and Nvidia, smash us loyal supporters even farther into the dirt.

This seems to indirectly imply that Titan will be beating by the GTX 780 ti, as if they are making a 6GB version, it's no longer forbidden by Nvidia, and the only reason they would drop this limit that I can see is if the titan is no longer considered to be the top card.

Looking at the box in the picture, looks like there still might be 1 saving grace for the Titan. The 780 pictures has "3-Way SLI" on the box. The Titan can be run 4-way. With scaling and CPU bottlenecking thrown in, I guess we have yet to see if the 6GB 780ti can compete with Quad SLI Titans still tho.

So lowering the price or releasing something new burries us? I don't see how that is you don't have to buy a card at launch.

On the EK website, all of the TITAN waterblocks are marked as EoL. I think this is enough of an indicator that the TITAN will be discontinued soon.

I highly doubt that. Jacob has always been a very precise poster when it comes to information that's to be known or not to be known. A flat out "Fake" as a response makes me believe it's entirely made up.

I wait GTX780Ti Classified 6GB, I must upgrade on that model.
Yes you need 6GB. I installed Rage, do you know when that game show up and my card work on 30% for constant 60fps, I play on 55C game but with High Resolution pack memory usage is close to 2.5GB. I changed few numbers from NVIDIA site and usage jump from 1.5GB to almost 2.5GB.
What will be with next games, Crysis mods,...lack of Memory. Sapphire present 7970 with 6GB probably because same things. Gamers love to mod games, we use PC because of that, some games are not finished, you need to mod cfg file to load all textures on times much better than default in some games, memory usage jump than rapidly. You will see.
I must say I would pay even.....even 10$ more only for different name than Ti ...GTX785 6GB Classified or GTX780XT 6GB Classified.
Maybe even same card as GTX780 Classified only with dark black shine cooler...

    Ah, ok.

Should clarify some more, didn't realize that picture actually existed on our server and will be removed, and had to look at some history to find the origin. Actually if you look at the date this image was made way back in July. It was a part that was reserved but never made it to market and there are no plans to ever bring it to market. In fact it never existed in an actual product form.

Also should mention that many times we reserve product part numbers and SKU's ahead of time, and often prepare preliminary images for them... even if they never make it to market. This one just somehow mistakenly was uploaded to the server.

    Surprised somebody found that though!

Sorry, originally I thought it was a fake because I know we do not have any part like that in the works, but once I saw the part number "06G-P4-3785-KR" I traced it and found the origin...

If the 780 Ti does not support 4 Way SLi and does not come in a 6GB+ variant, it will be a long wait until Maxwell for me. 3GB for 4K gaming is not enough and I would never understand Nvidia releasing a fully enabled GK110 part with only 3GB.
