I have enough evga bucks for 8 t-shirts. normally I put 2 or so up for folding contest prizes. I would like to keep 2 for myself and give 3 to the folding crew and 3 to the crunching crew. (I'm going to try to get rob to make 2 of them evga team auto graphed <==- cough cough ATTENTION ROB! some help with this please).

Long story short I/we need some kind of contest or even multi-winner even for me to give these away to the people who give the most and ask for nothing in return. post some idea's and if some of the even guys can lend a hand lets get something rolling in the next week or so!

    Nice one wrinvert.
What is your goal? To reward members with the fastest, most powerful rigs (contest) or those that have been plugging away thro good days, bad days and core15s whatever (review historical performance) or those that have contributed to folding and crunching teams the most (voted by peers)?
Once you have that concept agreed, the rest should be straightforward.
    Just some ideas

    Fantastic initiative wrinvert.
I don't have any great ideas (yet) for the content of the goal.
BadBertie has a good point, I would have second thoughts to reward the speed monsters, but to promote our community people is a great idea.
I live over the pond, so to use my EVGA bucks, most of them would burn as shipping cost.
So I'd be more than happy to donate my EVGA $122,-  to this community, to use in anything that will benefit our cause.

When details are figured out, we stay in touch.

Hmm... well I had thought of putting the Cruncher of the Month plaque into a new status like combining folding and crunching for the monthly award, or quarterly depending on how this all works out.  These would make an interesting thank you in addition to the plaque.

I would like to reward 3 to each side(viper/opolis i will need you help with dc side of things) like maybe most consistant of the year, powerhouse of the year and sub-bucks reward consistant(people who dont get bucks but keep plugging away selflessly). Something along those lines. Most of us in the top 20 folding fold for our own reasons(and i thank you) and not for any reward, that being said i hope they would understand my want to reward the smaller guys that are trying.

If we can donate my bucks to assist, let me know how. I can't use mine for a few more months at least, so I would love to help out with this.

As with almost all of our in house events, I think we should have certain requirements to be eligible and then have a random drawing to award prizes.  Maybe we could have different categories and a minimum amount of points for each to be eligible.

I've been talking to a few members in pm's and things are coming together. I'm giving 1week for planning, so 11/17/2014 I will set in stone the ways to be awarded. these will be loose guide lines I would like to follow for the individual ways to win on both sides. I am trying to be both fair and unbiased while awarding people who are both deserving and trying their best to give to the projects. and maybe a random fan vote/pick me winner. all ideas are still open at this point!

still waiting to hear from rob but I would venture to guess that will be Monday/Tuesday at best.

So i'm a little late but here we go... i'm going to pick 1folder and 1cruncher that i feel deserve a shirt. As for 2more i would like the people to pm me with someone they feel should get one from each side(all will be kept confidential). The last 2, simply post in this thread with a simple post to why it is you fold/crunch(random winners from all that post). If you do both you get a chance on each side.

Again i'll give this until friday this week 10/24 for pm's and inspirational posts. 10/25 i'll will post my picks and the posted winners.(the nominations will be kept private).

    So post and pm people!

I've already gotten a few PM's to nominate worthy people with very good reasons for them. please people speak up and throw you hat in the ring in this thread for the public pick! your folding/crunching for a reason and you should let everyone know and be rewarded for it! also spread the word amongst the people who don't regularly check the forms to get them back in the mix!

This is always the hardest part... when I try to contact folks who don't want to be contacted, or choose to ignore things and go about it their way, I feel frustrated.   Then I have to remember, not everyone wants to brag.  Then I'm humbled.

The winners have been chosen. They are all nominated by other forum members and choose by myself and a trusted folder/cruncher from our team. The winners should get a pm from myself in the next 2 days. Congrats to the winners, they are all people that have given much to the community and deserve to be rewarded.

I for one (and not to brag) am one of the lucky recipients of this special gift.  I am humbled and awed by all you do for our Folding and Crunching teams.  It is truly an honor to participate in finding cures and answers for science and chemistry as well as engineering, space and oh heck... a ton of other wonderful projects.

Wrinvert, thanks for the shirt and the contribution you make to our team.

The rest of you take a bow.  Each and every day you make me proud to call you team mate.
