I was wondering if Skylake is better able to handle 4 full sticks of memory unlike previous main stream generations like Sandy Bridge.

If it helps, I rarely hear this anymore.  Thinking back, the last time I dealt with this was with a user on the X58 platform possibly some time last year.

Currently my board is fully populated as well and that's on Haswell.

Ah ok. When I make the move to Skylake soon I plan to run dual channel 16 Gigs as always but I want the option to run 32 Gigs if I start doing video\audio based stuff. I know that Sandy Bridge, at least the lower-mid range chipsets, had a sub-par time with 4 full sticks. I currently experience that with my Alienware.

I see, seriously doubt you'll see any issues with the plan you've got set up.  Keep in mind, if you go for anything above what's rated for the memory controller on the CPU that you then may need to make adjustments to hit whatever the modules are rated for (if rated over 2133).

Oh nice! Well seeing as how prices on DDR4 has already dropped like crazy despite still being new memory tech I might consider buying a 32 gig kit and use half of it and save the rest for when I will need it.
