Had my card for about a week, For the first two days my monitors went black and the fan went to full i turned the pc off and unplugged the power connectors popped back in and since then its been fine. However i am a little concerned due to the whole thermal pad situation. Should I RMA it?

Thanks.

Don't listen to the biased mods or other tech support people trying to cover up a major issue. If you are having problems RMA it.  You can put some trust in the "thermal pad mod" they recently started offering even though "there is no issue". Bunch of shady stuff going on here.  Really sad as EVGA has always been top on my list of respected brands.

Both of these are correct. If it keeps doing it, RMA. If you're no longer having problems with it, don't worry.

The thermal pad issue has only one symptom: puff of smoke, burn marks on the back, and a card that no longer functions. If you don't got that, you don't got that.
