Well I guess I figured out why I can't use a PhysX card with the 980ti SC on certain games . I bit the bullet last night & swapped out a 960 SSC out of my surround rig & replaced the 760 with it . Did the usual DDU uninstall , install card & install drivers . System started acting up right away (laggy screen response) . I went ahead and tried some game benchmarks to test it out (games that used PhysX). All were studdering & locking up the pc . So I finally moved the PhysX setting to the 980ti so I could at least play some BL2 last night . I was also greeted with a wonderful crash when I tried to close the game (see picture)(picture coming ,file too big) . So today after uninstalling the drivers , I reinstalled the 760 and rebooted . I was greeted with a flash of the log-in screen then black . So I finally moved the hdmi cable (after several reboots) to the 760 . Had a screen there but no 980ti to be seen ! Windows nor the NVCP saw it . So I then took an 9600GSO I have (still new in box too ) and installed it to check the pci-e slot . Booted it into Windows & had a screen , goes , slot ok . So , uninstall (again) and move the 760 to the primary slot & got 4k back (the other card would only load 1024x768) . But I can't game on it . RMA ,here I come . Maybe I'll get a new 1080 to replace it !
