My AX1200 needs replacing. 5 hard years of benching has taken its toll. Need something that can stand up to SLI 1.4v+ 980 Classified testing

Depends on what you want. If need the power, then there are few options. I just installed one in my rig. Cannot comment on other than a smooth installation and the rig is running great. Have a tri-SLI 780Ti with a i7 4960X. Cables are nice but I decided to buy the individually sleeved ones. Need a bit more time to use the new PSU to be able to give you an idea of what to expect, but I am very pleased to this point.

After unboxing SuperNOVA PSU I can't imagine something else. I love him as brother.
K|NGP|N use 1600 P2 with white sleeve cables for his records, but that was before 1600 T2 was launched,
sometimes even few NEX1500 Classified but he will use now probably 2-3 1600 T2 in same time.
Biggest difference from Gold and Platinum is efficiency under low load, idle example with multi GPU.
Under 50-100% load it's not so big difference from Platinum.

You will be one of the elite few that spent $450. Your pride will grow every time you mention the 1600 T2. Sold?

Hell, it's the most expensive power supply now that the 1500 classified is gone. Like many that build a 5960x and 4 980S, don't try to justify it, just do it. :-p

I have only seen Grey and VSG mention that they have it so far, so I am interested in seeing more reviews.

I read the review and it did very well. Not sure I will take mine apart to resodder it, but it is a beast. Initially much better than my LEPA 1600.

Ultimate PSU, Strongest Titanium PSU on the Planet Earth.
Now offer is complete, but I think in future EVGA will cross more on Titanium models and for 1-2 years will be available in 700-800-1000W.

I remember one guy was not patient to wait EVGA 1600W models, in that time only 1300W strongest.
His target was Lepa as well, he made huge mistake.
Even Gold models are almost Platinum.
These are words from 1600 G2 (Gold) Johnny Guru review... (I got Platinum efficiency out of this thing, not Gold).
What to say than. But SuperNOVA Series package, box and contents, that's story for self.

    Nice.
After several decades of industrial automation; I can tell you the rule of thumb = expected load should not exceed 80% - 85% of the power supplies output for maximum stability and longevity.

At over 13 AMPS @ 120V a dedicated circuit would be nice.
I always check that the home builder did not use the push-in connector on the plugs in the circuit; as the screw connection is much better.

Double check your UPS can indeed feed this beast; +13 Amps @ 120V may exceed the output of some units.

I always use a quality UPS to ensure clean power to my PC and prevent corruption of memory caused by micro power fluctuations; that exceed the power supplies ability to absorb.
