    They should have made the entire line 7200 rpm.  I have an external Seagate 8 TB HDD with faster transfer rates than that.

    good price to performance ratio. As SSD prices continue to drop per GB I expect to see 2-4 TB SSD's for around $500 in the next few years.

    I agree - the old Barracuda XTs that were 7200 SSHD were much better.  We have a bunch of desktops here at work that run the 5400 2.5" variant and they are really sluggish if they're reading something un-cached.  All in all though the SSHD is a much better option than a standard spinning drive - as the normal Office applications open much faster after a couple days use.  Unfortunately we do see a much higher failure rate on these drive though.
