Either you're talking about 'Scan Mode' or 'OC Scanner'..There is 'Scan Mode' and then there is 'OC Scanner'..OC Scanner goes way back to Windows XP and 200 Series cards.
Precision XOC has three 'Modes': Linear, Basic, and Manual for Pascal/10 Series cards..'Manual Mode' has a 'Scan Mode' that is used for auto-tuning which automatically finds the optimal voltage/frequency curve..This is what I understand..Perhaps someone that knows how to use PXOC features and has a Pascal/10 Series card could confirm, deny, or elaborate.
The short version, Johnnyone, is that you can use 'OC Scanner' (stand-alone or through PrecisionX 16) but you can't use 'Scan Mode' (or if what you meant by 'Scanner Mode').
Also, when installed, EVGA OC Scanner activates the 'Test' button in PrecisionX 16..You can also run other applications, such as MSI Kombustor, from the 'Test' button if you browse to it under 'Select Test Application' in the PX16 main settings..PXOC is geared more towards 10 Series cards but can now be used with earlier card versions, just that it won't have the full features that are available to Pascal/10 Series cards..You may like/be better off using PrecisionX 16 with your card, up to you..There's also MSI Afterburner that will work for you too.
