Tried updating my bios again, so that my machine will accept 2 x GTX 1080's.
Experiencing the same problem as I have in the past.
The original bios the board shipped with clocks the cores as needed. They idle at 1.8ghz and ramp up to around 3.6ghz when rendering.
With the new bios. The cores are locked at 3.2ghz. They never idle, they never overclock.
The option to use speedstep is gone from this bios. Forcing me to run all of my cores at their default clock rate at all times.
This costs me in both energy efficiency and hurts come render time.
EVGA, you need to address this issue with your crap board and make a more functional bios update.
