Call of Duty Infinite Warfare
Call of Duty BLack Ops III
Battlefield 4
Crysis 3
Fallout 4
Witcher 3
Overwatch

Should I keep my SLI set up or go with a single GPU?

Looking forward to your input.

Thanks all.

I should have mentioned 2 980 sli vs a higher end 1080. Still SLI?

I also noticed the NVIDIA drivers these days are excluding some SLI profiles.  There is a back and forth on Call of Duty Infinite Warfare.  I know some of the other games I play do cover SLI but I am thinking about the future also.   I read on some forums most people are staying away from SLI.
It's good that some of you recommend it.  I like my two GPUs and would prefer to keep it if SLI will continue on in most games.

Curious, which NVIDIA driver are you guys running now with your SLI setup?   Seems NVIDIA has a new one every two weeks.

I'm using 373.06 WHQL because I also do some Folding. 373.06 is the last driver you could use for Folding I think.

I have never ran individual benchmarks. How do you do it? From the game or use 3rd party software? It's a greal suggestion by the way.

I started to test more games after NVIDIA changed their game plan for 3 and 4 Way SLI Support.
SLI or 2-Way SLI is great for games that do support and I think anyone with a GTX 980Ti or Higher are fine for the next year or two. I did see GOW4 Climb to use 6GB of Video Memory when running the Benchmark for GOW4.
Here is my Post Post your GOW 4 Benchmarks (Real World) running different Graphics Cards from The GTX 780 to the GTX 1080 and even a pair of AMD R9 290X Cards.

That was a great summary of GOW4. Thanks.

What specific new games? What has changed in the last couple of months? Is the 1080Ti an option?

    @Cool GTX, @HeavyHemi

i play COD infinite warfare, overwatch and F1 2016 for the most part nowadays and i believe they dont play in sli. Maybe i am wrong. I know about that nvidia site and have used it. These games do not appear to be there when i search. The 1080 ti would also be an option. I am leaning towards the 1080 now since its good with 1440p but could wait for the 1080ti as well. I am not in a rush since my 980s are still performing well. I am thinking long term.

Will games continue to support sli?

Overwatch and COD should support SLI. I don't know about F1. An easy way to find out is to check PrecisionX when you're running a game. If one card is running a high load, and the other is idle, then you'll know that it doesn't work.

Good tip, thanks. I typically dont overclock so i never have PrecisionX opened but will try that next time.
