Hey guys, lately I have been having issues where my second card (GTX 980 SC) is not being recognized in the NVIDIA drivers from 359 and newer. I have done everything from wipe drivers, re-install OS, change SLI bridge fingers, power cables and the list goes on. The card isn't even shown in my mobo bios however I can get a signal from both cards independently but once connected its like the other card isn't even there.

I have also been having a weird refresh rate issue that appears to be Microsoft related where the cards crash at 144Hz when at idle or low load and the card freaks out ha. I don't know if I should just file an RMA or if anybody has some suggestions. Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks!

    Both cards show up in the bios when tested individually in both the pci-e slots they're running in now? When both are connected with the sli bridge one disappears from the bios?

    I might just do that, I didn't want to spend $40-50 on a new one when nothing is wrong with my current one.

    @Sajin
    Yeah, only one card is detected in my bios even with the bridge connected but with the bridge off I can get an independent signal from both card.

    ** See now I can enable SLI again after having to reboot several times, not tomorrow it won't recognize the second card again. So I'm guessing it IS a bridge issue?. Could the refresh rate problems also be related or no? I know Microsoft said something was incompatible with NVIDIA cards that caused the cards to pretty much freak out under no load or very little because there card didn't have enough to render so it started altering the refresh rate and windows would crash do to it

    Have you tried reseating both cards to the motherboard and reseating the sli bridge? If not, try that.

    The cards are watercooled and held together with an EK terminal so I doubt one of the cards can really move anywhere
