Hi guys. So I'm currently running two Titan Black Superclocks. I am using a 3 way SLI bridge to connect them.

However, I just bought a GTX 770 2gb and wanted to fit it into my rig but the issue is the only way I can connect it up (for Physx or what not) is to put it between the two Titans.

And obviously that's an issue because the SLI fingers will then connect the 770 into the SLI bridge.

Can I do this and leave my Titans in SLI and it not affect them? or should I move my sound card and connect it away from the bridge?

1) No way in hell do you need a 770 to 'help' out 2 Titans' anyways for PhysX or anything else
2) Yes, if you really decide to put it in there - move it away from the SLi connector or you'll see real issues
3) see #1  ( only reason for the 770 would be for folding at home / crunching/ data mining - but for gaming, complete  waste of power, time, effort, heat)

OK sounds about right then. I will have to move my sound card :)

Another reason I want to fit the 770 is because I'm about to connect the rig to a 4k 65" monitor so wanted the Titans powering that with the 770 connected to my 1080p monitor.

Thanks for the help :)

Just a quick question guys.

If I take apart the EVGA SLI bridge and desolder the middle connector would it still work? I was thinking of using a heat gun and some pliers..

If I heat from the back and pull the connectors from the front they should release from the bridge. That way I can fit the 770 between the Titans.

Unfortunately, we wouldn't be able to support any modifications to the Pro Bridge, or any SLI bridge, for that matter. Keep in mind that if you're talking about modifying a Pro Bridge, you'll void any warranty that the item may carry.

There are SLI bridges that are constructed to fit with having a PhysX card between the two cards being SLI'd. You may be able to get one of those.

Just a thought.  If you insist on doing this how about wrapping a small piece of cellophane over the sli fingers to prevent contact.  Not suggesting tape, maybe something from the window of a product display box.

You don't need to desolder anything, just put pliers on the centre connector wiggle it it will come off easily,
Trim any pins left level with the board, works fine, done it a few times, using one just now in fact.

But it will reduce the airflow putting a card between your Titans, unless your water cooled.
They will run hotter

I would call myself a pro modder tbh James so I'm not worried about warranty.

Clockwork - thanks matey that's all I needed to know. Will fit the 770 between the two Titans then and remove the pins/plugs. I can do either method really. I've got a heat gun/solder iron and a good pair of snips so either or will work for me :)

Thanks all. Here is my rig btw as it stands.

Will post more pics when I have the 770 in. Just waiting on a Quadro to arrive so I can remove the 770 from my Hackintosh.

Don't desolder the pins, cut them flush with the PCB, that way will keep any connections on the PCB intact.
The plastic link plug pulls off easily, you will be left with the wires that fed into the plug, cut these flush.
