Edit: If I was to go over my price range even further, how would the ENERMAX REVOLUTION85+ 920w Hold Up? Are Enermax good PSUs? Also what happens if a PSU is responsible for your system frying? Are just **** out of luck? or does Warranty play a part in it?

Enermax makes outstanding PSUs... some of the absolute best.

The Rev 85+ 920 will be fine for you.

Finally, when PSUs blow and take the system with it... warranty doesn't cover the rest of the system... sadly. Your homeowners/renters insurance might depending on your policy.

If 1200Watts is optimum for SLI, I see a lot of people with Tri-SLI using 1200Watts, shouldnt it be 1,500 watts for them and about another PSU for quad SLI ?

Thanks for the input, looks like I'll be going with Enermax. As far as the warranty policies go, that's completely messed up... If a faulty PSU is responsible for $1000s in damage, you'd think the company who provided that faulty product would be held responsible... Looks like I'll be getting extra Newegg warranties on all my main components.

Speaking of which, what of other warranties? Does eVGA's lifetime warranty cover you if your card is fried from a faulty PSU?

look at it more like, 1000W for 2x580s and 1200W for 3X580s.. I would run 4x580s with a good 1500W...

i sprang for the silverstone 1500W so i dont foresee ever needing to upgrade my PSU.  However, if you already have a pair of 800W PSU's, i would say go ahead and use them both in the system.  there are adapters on frozencpu.com for using dual PSUs.  But thats only if your case is big enough.
