I was just wondering. I have a 980ti and I have read a couple posts that people are running 2 cards but both are different. I also have a gtx 760. Can I run both cards or did I read this wrong.

Only if you dedicated the second card as PhysX . They won't sli together .

Hello, as the user above has said you cannot run your two mis-matched cards together in SLI unfortunately due to the fact that they have two different GPU chips. You can however run the 760 as a dedicated physx card however I would recommend against that due to the poor performance gain. You can learn more on SLI technology here https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3v3HumTFfTY

But if you're into folding, they will run pretty well together. I had a 970 and a 780ti folding and that config did pretty well and now I have a 980ti and a 970 folding and that config does very well . I haven't bothered with the dedicated physics card route, 980ti kicks button gaming

+1 Folding PCs do not take advantage of SLI, but it does take advantage of multiple GPUs --- as GPU folding is the most energy efficient

Why do you want to use the 780? The only reason is either PhysX or folding. PhysX doesn't help very much and I guess if you're folding then you just need to place the card in the Pc and don't attach a monitor. Boot up the PC and then you should be able to fold on both the main card and the 780.

Actually using the 760 for PhysX will help in PhysX heavy games . Arkham series for example . I've tested with & w/o the 760 for PhysX . I have smoother gameplay & higher minimum fps using my 760 as a dedicated card . Using a resolution of 5760x1080 in surround . I have all Gameworks feature maxed out , no AA (no visual difference to me) and motion blur off (don't like it) . Borderlands 2 will also benefit from it , especially with PhysX on high . I just switched to 359.00 from 355.82 and it fixed crashing in BL2 w/PhysX at high . Got rid of my event viewer errors too . Edit : The 359.00 causes Arkham Knight to crash the pc when you launch it .
